How is your day Today, plans and achievements 2024....

Today Monday thru Wednesday will be endured quietly at home reviving.

Earlier last week had some doubts I would enjoy the weekend given limited web outdoor live music listings. But had much fun at both semi Halloween events I decided to attend. Saturday at the McLaren Park, Jerry Garcia Amphitheater Halloween Rock n' Scream event in SF, had fun laughing with 4 young attractive twentysomething gals at their t-shirt booth after their set where they sold a lot of t-shirts and personally autographed posters. Was amazed at how smoothly their cashless smartphone with credit card transactions worked. Everyone at the small outdoor venue much enjoyed their lively show.

This was a venue I'd been to a few times before mostly for G Dead oriented jam bands so locals in that south part of The City are getting to know me. As miss T'y an attractive fine athletic looking woman was leaving the venue with her friends, she came up to me and asked for my name, then not only said she liked my dancing that numbers do but said I was her favorite  dancer.

Then Sunday was in foggy Pacifica at cool t-shirt temperatures at a small mostly indoor old style roadhouse club venue with an adjacent rock n' roll flea market outdoors. Three surf rock genre bands had 45 minute sets in the packed club. By the end of the afternoon, was fun with numbers dancing and the venue bar crew excitedly embracing my visit as a catalyst for getting people up and lively.

Later back home enjoyed watching the 49ers second half dominance over the Cowboys.

Wow @David777 you have the best weekends!

Do you mean dancing numbers as in you count the beats?

Have a great Halloween week and a very Happy Birthday 🎂🥳

Even though I was over tired yesterday, it was actually a very productive day..

I finished Goob's winter house. (I'll post a picture in the "New Fluffbutt" thread, eventually).

I also did some major gardening. It wasn't fun and I'm glad it's over. Dio brought a hose down to the Fairy Garden and gave it a good soaking. I don't think that has ever been done before! I usually lug bottles of water up from the pond, when the garden needs it. However, these are extreme times. It hasn't rained in 4 weeks! The ground is so dry that I just can't haul up as much water as is needed! So the garden has had a good soaking and it's very happy!

We also cut Dio's hair, walked Goober, etc.

I went to bed early, and slept well. So whatever was bothering my tummy is gone.

This morning I bleached the shower. At the time, my back felt fairly good. Now, not so much! 🙃. I guess I'll rest it and stretch it out, then decide what else I'll be doing for the day. 🎃

Mondays were always the definitive dance days, that was when the lady's shift pattern allowed. We would train and rehearse a newly choreographed routine then, in the evening, at the general practice, we would see how much we had remembered.

Nowadays it's all just reminisce, but, no matter, the lady continues to recover. This morning, following the daily domestic duties, a phone call, asking if I could help out at work. That took up six hours but I was home in time to prepare this evening's chilli-con-carne. We are mulling over an offer that the tailor made at his soirée last week. He's offered us his and her's vintage outfits.

This is what we are perusing. My lady said that she could make her's,
but I want to treat her. It will depend really on what the tailor's offer is.
Decisions, decisions!

wet day. here, went to Citizens Advice this morning, needed advice on something,,what a noisy place people on speaker phones chatting away, nothing was private grrrr,,..,had a bad case of acid reflux later at home, just getting over it.
you didn't have to do that.. sitting in that horrible place looking for advice. You could have asked me.. you know I know everything :sneaky::ROFLMAO:

Go for it! specially love the ladies' suit. The man's suit is nice but, I think it would lay nicer if it were slightly roomier. There are a couple of areas where it seems to be pulling. Or perhaps it is just me being critical? ;)

No you are not being critical. The pleated style to look good needs to fit well. Pleats pull the fabric "in" so just an extra inch on the fabric would get a much better aesthetic than it looks at present.
The lady's suit is a design by the famous Coco Chanel, I hope my Mrs doesn't have aspirations of Miss Chanel's label inside the collar!

B&C 1302.jpg
An alternative to a gent's suit would be a blazer with
plain grey trousers to match the grey in the swatch.
Admittedly it doesn't have the impact that my bright
coloured blazers have, but the idea is to have a kind
of unusual suit. Food for thought.

That fabric would make a really nice blazer and is very much your style.

Coco Chanel - I am not surprised as it is beautiful.

I am sure that whatever you and Mrs HC choose, you will both look very stylish.

We are going to raise the front of our cement front porch about 4 inches today. I will take pictures. We are using 2 floor jacks on either side, of a 10' 4x4 with chained to C-clams on either side. Herculean task...we shall see. Pictures soon. :)
Ok next day. We got up at 7am to start.

7am.jpg The front of the cement needs to be raised about 3"

By 10am we had this going.

We had an obstacle we ran into. A plant root that was monstrous!

We chained sawed it, and then filled in.

Results in the next post.

Happy Birthday! Have fun!

Yesterday I picked up the Swiffer duster and didn't quit until I'd done the whole house (unused bedrooms excluded). It's been a while. Cleaning everything, including mopping the floors, and blitzing the kitchen and bathrooms took under an hour. Roomba handles the vacuuming twice a week, so didn't need to bother with that.

Every mid-November, DH and I deep clean the dining and living rooms. All contents on shelves and in the hutches (plus the shelves & hutches themselves) get washed, dried and put back in anticipation of holiday parties and the season. A few days later we arrange for our professional carpet cleaner to come in and work his magic.

Other than dusting, I stay ahead of the housework. Except for the 4 hour-ish November cleaning, the house is never more than 10 minutes from presentably clean and an hour from sparkling.

Got a load of laundry running now. Might run a few errands today. Will just have to see how the day spins out.
Very inspiring.......yet I'm still sitting here. 😊

I think this dry spell is supposed to break this week.

Went to cardiologist yesterday. Looking for leg blood clots. He's been telling me about a blockage in right leg for over a year. Doesn't bother me. After test, he told me he wants an ultra sound. So, I am scheduled for next Tuesday, election day. He didn't tell me why I needed this test. When I asked him, he told me some BS about yesterday's machine not being clear. It always has been enough, why not now? He literally walked away from me. I called after him, "did anything bad show up today?" He stopped to say if that was the case he'd be scheduling me for surgery now. Then walked away. This is the second time recently a doctor told me news and what I must do without explaining why.

Dr. Google thinks doc looking for DVT=Deep Vein Thrombosis. I don't know what he's looking for, but he's looking for something.

I don't think fast on my feet anymore. I just get startled and speechless. They walk away too fast for me to think of questions.

Maybe where you are. We have a 20% chance of sprinkles on Friday. Pffft. 80% chance we won't have sprinkles on Friday! Our next predicted chance of rain is November 7.
70% chance of rain here on Saturday, which would be a godsend. November 2nd would be early in our rainy season, and if it's significant, autumn wildfire possibilities will be reduced.

I just looked it up - it hasn't rained here since mid-April. As Randy Newman sings in "I love L.A.", the sun is always shining.

Try not to worry until you know what you are dealing with.

It’s not uncommon for people that don’t get much exercise.

It’s a toss up as to which might be worse the blockage or a blood clot from the blockage breaking loose.

It may be something that can be easily treated with a blood thinner, compression stockings, etc…

I'm already on blood thinners @Aunt Bea, have been for years. Had leg stent surgery a "million" times already. I know it's more than 15 years. This has been ongoing problem.

The biggest problem about taking this test is I have to leave home. I hate doing anything lately.
