It's a gloomy very wet day here today. Tai chi class this morning, then meeting Wifey for lunch half way between here and where she works on Tuesday mornings in Kendal. That's about it I think.

Feeling better (so far) than when I went to bed. So far...

Gotta get moving so the citizens of our fair city will have fresh croissants for breakfast.

What a difference a good night's sleep makes. Of course I love . They do stink and now I smell like them. I was missing Buffy & Max and will forever, or whatever is left. Every night I say goodnight to the four cats alive only in my heart.

I think I will do laundry today. It is supposed to be another cold sunny day. 18 degrees here right now and is supposed to get up to a high of 38 (or so it says). I don't mind cold as long as we get sun too. I hate the gloomy days. I am feeling good today so far so hopeful for a good day.

Sigh. More doc annoyance. The earliest I can get an appointment with an ophthalmologist is May 20. See why I just don't want to be bothered with any of this anymore?

There's no such thing as coordinating appointments so that I only have to figure out how to get to an inconvenient place once for multiple appointments. Do these people give a rip? The answer is a resounding no.

nope not so.... I bought a rug from an Irish company a couple of weeks ago, and when it arrived it was damaged, so I had to get a replacement

When I signed up for Medicare I felt like everyone wanted a piece of me. It's calmed down now.

Same here but they insisted on one more with my Medicare "Welcome Physical". That led all the way up to hysteroscopy (sounds like hysterical) and removal of one polyp.

Off to the hardware store to get paint for redecorating the kitchen. Probably pick up a few other things along the way. At least yesterday's rain has cleared away, but it's become very cold again.

it's mild here but oddly it feels colder than it has this last few days.. yet it's 55 f.... however they are forecasting snow for large swathes of the country in the next few days... not us here in the South but apparently everywhere else..

Have a squirrel monster in my area!!! Every day I throw out
seed for the local squsirrels, and yesterday and today I have
noticed two squirrels with big patches of fur missing, including
skin missing...so something is attacking them!!!! I'm thinking
cat or maybe hawk......dang it....

Hawk,, the male squirrels are fighting over the female squirrels.

If it was an animal after them you would be seeing less squirrels.

I've been finding bird feathers where a hawk got them.
Deer hair where the deer have been fighting over their food.

It's interesting to watch the animals.
Noticed a crow in one of the trees,, could see his wings spread out as he called to other crows.

Noticed small birds checking out a bird house.
Huh?? isn't it early to be nesting?

Time to clean nest boxes on next walk about.

Hi, kids. I'm home after another lovely day of baking and baking and baking, then packaging and packaging and packaging. And trying to explain to a lady that we don't have coleslaw; that's in the deli, right next to us. Yanno? There's a big sign proclaiming "Bakery" hanging right there, not to mention that there are all kinds of cakes and pastries and other tasty things right smack in front in a display case. Oy.

It's sunny and mild out there with no wind. Yay. Gonna only get to about 60 today, but it beats rain, right?

Won't see the cardiologist until Monday, but looking at my ultrasound results myself today there was no dilation observed in any of the abdominal aorta branches or the iliacs, with good flow. Sadly the supra-renal aorta was not imaged due to gas. I hope that doesn't mean a repeat will be required.

Sounds like good news overall.

Finally got off my (mental) rear and scheduled my car in for routine servicing and to test (and if necessary replace) the nearly 6 year old battery. No, this isn't a big thing except that I've come to realize that I've been hanging onto a pandemic-era lockdown mentality about living.
