How is your day Today, plans and achievements 2024....

I'm on Season 5 Of This is Us. I love the writing. Every little thing is tied in somewhere. I've gotten over the sappiness as it is a part of this family. They are tied together through tragedy.

I know a woman who's father shot her husband in front of her and her four young children. Then he went off and killed himself. He was off his meds.
They were strung together through the tragedy, therapy, life after, all of it. She never remarried and put all four through college.
She is close to retirement, a grandmother and when I watch this series I'm always thinking of her. I didn't know her until her kids were grown but I know that that one day shaped their whole lives.
 
I've had a typical Coosday. I went to the gym and had a great workout, I felt really good....even though I'm still cutting back, due to my recent illness. I'm not at 100% yet, and I don't want to relapse.

I put money into my Mom's checkbook, so she can go out and have fun.

Then I got a few items at the grocery store, walked across the parking lot to get a pizza, and headed home.

It's another pretty day: sunny and over 50°F/10°C 🌞! I'm thinking of sitting outside and letting The Girls out to run around for a while....they sure would like that!​

I understand, and I share your pain! 😢

April will be a year since we lost Andy. I'm not sure that I will ever get over the hole that he left in my heart. I have stopped hearing him on the porch waiting to come in, but I still see him everywhere!! 😢
 
I can't believe it. Yes I can. Woke up late for me, 6 am. Immediately went to my phone to discover AccessARide screwed up my morning trip to see my grandson. Ended up screaming on the phone to 3 different people, including supervisor and 'manager.' Got them to half admit they are deliberately effing with me because I have a case.

"Is this how you want your grandmother treated?" was one of the remarks I made over and over.

I "won" this. NO I WON NOTHING. Starting the day to see my grandson hyper, upset and worried. I told them over and over that I knew it was their form of revenge for me persisting in my case regarding being assaulted. I received no denials. They have me on some sort of shit list.

Once a week I use them. Once a week and they are doing their best to hurt me. Can hardly wait till damn elevator is completed at my home subway station. I'd much rather take my chances with the train, even though it involves a lot of walking at my son's end.

Can't believe I am able to write this. I want to say more, give more details so anyone reading this will understand what happened at 6 am.

I am so grateful I have you people to vent to. Thank you for listening. Wish I were able to say more, it's rumbling in my heart. Always something with AAR. ALWAYS. Can't have one smooth day of competence so I can enjoy my grandson.
 
Finally got a good night's rest,,,,, but hubby didn't.

He gets some idea or problem rattling around in his head & can't relax to get asleep.

He & his helper are out in the woodpile working.
Hope they can get some of what hubby wants done today.

Meantime ,, I'll try to make a meal for us,, some household chores to catch up on.

I ordered a Vase online to be delivered from a large store here... it's not available in-store so the only option is to order online. I waited a week for delivery and it arrived today. It's a large clay type vase about 2 feet high and weighs about 8 pounds..

When I opened the box, which was double walled, I was astonished given all the packaging to see that inside the Vase was broken... huge chunk out of one side which is about an inch deep... and the crack runs all the way around the vase, so that if I try to lift it by the collar, the whole thing tries to seperate.

I can't believe that in the space of 2 weeks, 2 different companies have sent me damaged goods.. what are the odds ?

Anyway I called their customer service, she looked at the photos, and said that a new one will be sent this Friday...
 
Recently spent time repairing (welding) some useful items, one being a workshop spotlight stand. Those tasks being completed, yesterday I worked for our eco conservation/restoration group by exploring some funding options. Most objectives require funds from at least a couple different sources. Securing conditional funding interest from one enables a contribution from another, then ultimately the support is usually delivered (finally!).

That's what I worked at yesterday in the morning. About 3:00 in the afternoon, I started making enchiladas for our supper. A lot of ingredients involved. Carefully making the molé sauce takes most of the of time. I had the enchiladas ready by 6:00.

Watched "Florence Foster Jenkins" (with Maryl Streep & Hugh Grant) before bed. We'd seen it before, but it's off-the-chart hilarious, and touching too. The scripting, direction & timing of the comedy aspect reminds me of "Faulty Towers" and some of the big-screen Rowan Atkinson things.

Today, more work toward the funding.

Morning folks......here checking in, late due to who knows....just
had to dump 2 half gallons of milk down the drain, both spoiled
just sitting in fridge....dunno why I buy two at a time...ah well..
Had to pay a "conveniece fee" of 15bucks to landlord yesterday because I paid my rent thru the banks system, not the landlords
system..(screammmmmm), oh well....got laundry for later on maybe...crying cuz no one likes my pic in media, boo hoo...
see how I need attention sometimes LOL...did some research on my copd breath meds and it seems it causes all these little annoyance's that are going on, runny nose ( for hours), added aches and pains, sore throat, and yes rash....what the heck....??? ah well....make it a great day okaY?!?! :giggle::p:cool::devilish:
