Taking full spine x-rays today to find cause of severe pain left side for two weeks. Doesn't hurt anymore. Was referred by my pain doc, the only one who actually does anything, not PCP who is useless idiot.

Will have a nice walk, I hope, as I did when I went there for CT scan, about 40 minutes or so each way. A stroll.

Severe pain has changed me and not for the better. I feel I've aged 10 years in the last month. I'm extremely depressed from this experience.

Pardon me, hate it when I quote myself, But.....
I feel this is all connected to assault on AccessARide in December. It flipped me out, to use an old expression, and I have not been the same since.

I want to get over this.

Somebody posted a day or two ago about cleaning the contacts on small battery operated things. I want to try it on a couple of my garden lights. Anybody remember how to do it and what to use?
There are specialty cleaners like this one too, just search for "contact cleaner."

However most people aren't going to go through so much of it, so you might try to find smaller bottles. They seem to store well, I've had this product for years.

Hardware stores usually carry these things.

The sun is shining finally!

Exciting plans for today include putting laundry away and 😖vacuuming. But rather than bore anyone further with housework chores, I'll say that I plan to go to Aldi's for a jar of dill pickles I am craving.
If anyone likes baby sweet pickles, the Dollar Tree has jars with no fructose corn syrup. They use sugar. I just had a hard time finding ones in the grocery store without HFCS. So, there you go.

DS came yesterday and helped us with some heavier yard work. I moved a hydrangea to a better spot. It was in a pot and the roots had come through into the ground. I had to break and pick out plastic. It is now in a nice part shade spot in the back amongst some friends.
I dug up a bunch of spider lillys that were misplaced. I think I'm going to part with them as they only bloom for two weeks most and it ends up more foliage to cut back. My yard needs to be easier!
I guess this belongs in gardening.......copy and paste?

Spent most of the day on various phone calls dealing with legal issues... mentally exhausted..😣. , got so many appointments now I've had to list them all on a sheet of paper... I never put stuff like that into my phone, because I always end up losing it, then I panic..

I've also spent half of that time printing off relevant paperwork.... keep thinking I'm going to run out of printing ink...

5.20pm now, it'll be dark soon.

Got more paperwork to find.. not in the place I initially put it, with all other relevant paperwork.... so it means I have to drag everything out to see where in a moment of madness I might have put it ...🤔

Tempus fugit! I thought it was about noon. Nope. 2:40!

After DD dropped her car off she dropped DSIL at work and kept his so we could go to the garden centers today instead of Wednesday. Woohoo. I still have money left on the gift cards. More woohoo.

Not everything got planted because I got tired, but they'll go in the ground on Thursday.

I also cleaned up the patio umbrella. It was pretty nasty, but it's done. Pin a rose on me.

Laundry washed, dried, folded, hung up or put away. Pin another rose on me.

Time for a late lunch. Then maybe a nap and vacuuming.

Oh! I just thought of another benefit to working the 4-10 hours. Last summer and the summer before by the time I got home it was too darned hot to work in the garden. Getting home at 10 means it won't be too hot yet, so I can play in the dirt for a little while. Yay.

@hawkdon Ouch.

@hollydolly The things you're looking for? They'll be in the last place you look ;)

Pepper, it might be the assault that is causing the depression.

A few years ago a man driving an illegal motor bike, in the bike lane suddenly turned in front of my car- he never looked back once to see me, and my foot was on the brake as I tried to pass him- and, due to my excellent peripheral vision, I turned from him so fast that no one got hurt.

His motor bike hit my left light and damage my hood. He had no license, no insurance and the bike was illegal and although I stayed calm through this ( there were also 2 witnesses who saw him pull in front of me), I did have depression for a while when I thought about it but now it never bothers me.

I do hope you get relief from pain. The CT scan will reveal what is wrong, hopefully.

I have a few errands to do today-and it is BEAUTIFUL here in southern NY!
I had some hand washables blouses to soak in Woolite and get on the clothes line, and I need to sweep some locust tree pods off my main deck.
I had a nice hot dog for lunch and maybe will have one for dinner-I didn't thaw anything from my freezer, in time to pick something else.

It is 60 degrees here in the shade! Fabulous weather. I love being outside.

@Pepper, they are plenty of us who have a hard time getting past a truamatic incident. I am one of those people, the anxiety, fear of a repeat experience causes us to shut down. I have avoided a lot of outings, I am wary of people that may explode over nothing. Just being a witness to this type of thing causes me as a great deal of stress.

I guess the most important thing is to talk with others that can understand. Your feelings are valid in this day and age. I try to not keep my self in solitude but it is hard. I send you a hug and bestwishes!!

Tulips from the markdown shelves, planted. Senetti, planted. Snapdragons and dianthus waiting to be planted on Thursday.

Blooming in the garden now are Lenten rose, daffodils, dianthus, senetti, and there are still blooms on the camellia.

And the squirrels haven't discovered that I filled the bird feeder this morning so there are a zillion birds out there feasting.

Ate lunch and decided to vacuum before napping because after a nap, I'd think of an excuse to not vacuum.

Now DD's car is ready so we're going to fetch it. No nap:(

By this point, most of you know I have nothing to do but it takes me all day to get it done. I am in the kitchen today, doing a cook up for the week. I have made a pot of rice, swiss steak is about to go in the oven.

I got a bottom round roast the other day on sale. The same thing already cut down was about $2lb more. Who knew, some of us have a knife and can cut it done ourselves.

I also got their good bacon on sale, thick cut. I will cook up a pound of that and I also have everything to make an egg and mushroom casserole. I also need that bacon drippings to cook some field peas. I had planned to cook the peas last night but I had run out of bacon fat.

I still need to finish up the last of my insurance needs. I got my medicare card in the mail but I still need to sign up for the advantage plan available to federal employees. As a survivor I am entitled to these programs and it such a blessing.. I can also sign up for a dental plan at a very reasonable cost. @StillLearning, know you are in similar situation. Both of our husbands had/have cancer.

I hope he is doing well but we know what is coming. It is important that you start to do your research and see what benefits are available when he passes. Both of our husbands worked hard to make sure we are taken care off. Please send me a message if you have questions.

I'd call this an achievement.
News I got from Experian today but happened apparently on 29FEB ...

About 10:15 I walked to McD’s and got an egg and cheese biscuit and a really good cup of decaf for breakfast. I was glad I got there before they stopped serving breakfast. Afterward I went to Planet Fitness and worked out for 49 minutes using the treadmill, stride machine and rower. I also walked an additional 38 minutes to get to and from my destinations, making me 3 minutes shy of exercising for 90 minutes.

I finished my taxes which took a bit of time because I had to search for my property tax statement from management three times before I found it. Also I’m still getting used to using Windows, finding what I need and having to keep adjusting the size of my screen (I think that’s because I’m using the TV as my monitor). Anyway, I’m glad I finished.

I watched T.V. and played my games in between exercising and taxes. Now it’s time to relax, eat dinner, take my meds and watch more TV. I have no doubt that I’ll fall asleep early because I’m tired.

A girl named Jan wanted to see me on my riding mower
What could I do !!! Shoot
So I hopped on the evil lawn maintenance device.
Well the boy dog, Mason thinks it's evil and stays away when the thing is "growling".
Mission accomplished ~~~

Hilarious! Was that you in the YouTube talking about the bear and the frog legs? So funny.

Slight setback today. I was feeling better but not better enough to tackle anything stressful. I started watching the online seminar, and the topic was procrastination. I jumped the gun, watched the first few minutes and decided to force myself to tackle something stressful. Bad move. I got even more stressed.

If I had listened to the rest of the presentation, it was about giving compassion to yourself in the stuckness. While that helped, I'm back to where I started, if not a little worse.

Other than that, it was a pretty good day. It was overcast but quiet on all fronts.

I'm still researching how to create more privacy for my property. I'd love to be able to feel free to use it for myself without having to run into other people or animals who are trespassing or have to deal with illegal noise. I've been looking into security cameras over the past year. Lots to think about and research on that front.
