Oh I have posted on it in the past...my big fat assed cow..lol... on page one... but not a highland coo...:ROFLMAO:
The thread started out being for Highland Cows (Coos), but any and all cows are welcome. I just wanted it to be lighthearted and fun! 🐮

I usually post on that thread once a week (you know what day! LOL). This week I was all mixed up and also posted on Thursday!

My cat gave me quite a scare as soon as I sat down to relax, watch TV and eat dessert. She got herself stuck under the back panel of our computer desk. Her distress cries demanded immediate attention. I tried to free her hind parts but in her upset state, she attacked me. So I put on heavy gloves and mittens. I managed to push her hind parts forward so it looks like she's free but she must still be entangled somehow.

Behind the desk we have cables for our equipment. I hate it when she goes back there and we kitten proofed it as best we could months ago. She wound up back in the same position as before she looked "free" and attacked me the last time I tried to push her forward. She appears to be free from the bottom of the panel now but still isn't coming out.

I took this to send to my son so he'd know what I was talking about.

I suspect her foot is entangled in one of the chords but I can't tell. I called my son who is in New York and he won't be home for at least an hour! I think this will be a two person job. He has much longer arms and can contort better than me to reach her and resolve this. I hope his work gloves are handy. At least she used the litter box shortly before, she's quieted down and doesn't appear to be injured. 😱 That Little Girl, I'm tellin' ya! 🙄 Playing soothing music hoping that helps keep her calm.
Udate: Yaaay! She just freed herself!!

A day in the city of Kelowna. A bustling city, with a lot of traffic in the main streets. American-like in its flash-sign consumerist look. Not comfortable to me. But did a little shopping, including for bulk foods and a new pair of Carhart work pants.

Had my consultation & exam with my oncologist. A guy in his early 40s, likes skiing in the high country. I like him. All is well, no sign of cancer anymore.

Ate in a very noisy pub/restaurant last night. Fish & chips - quite good. Tonight great Mexican food. Driving home tomorrow. Eating some fine chocolate right now. It'll be great to be back home.

If it's not one thing, it's another. A couple nights ago, one of my neighbor's dog was in my yard, I think. It was super loud barking at 2 am. I heard the owner come to get it. My gate had blown open in the storm. My neighbor should not have that dog off leash.

Today, another neighbor's kids were hitting a ball at my garage door. I opened the garage door. They ran off, yelling WTF except the actual words. 10 year old children shouldn't be talking like that. Or trespassing for that matter.

With the weekend coming up, I'm hoping all my neighbors won't be obnoxious as they normally are.

I think the kids' calm gummy backfired on me. I can only take so much magnesium before my stomach rebels on me. I hit that point last night, I guess. It was good for the first few days, though.

pretty chilly today... 6 deg c.... but quite sunny.. My neighbours tulips are blooming in her front garden...

I 've cleaned the kitchen and the floors so far today.. and taken delivery of my new distance glasses.. which I use for driving at night..or watching tv..

You'll remember I bought these online last week.. they were the very cheapest frames, and the price included the lightweight frames, the lenses, the Non-scratch coating, and the maximum thinness for just £46.... when I usually pay upwards of £200 ...
They arrived today.. and I'm just delighted with them... for the price..

Cautious optimism here today, despite the fact that the comedy/fund raiser event I'd thought about attending was already sold out when I tried to get a ticket yesterday. But it turns out that it wasn't a bad omen after all.

And I just remembered that I don't believe in omens anyway. :ROFLMAO:

Better to just put one foot in front of the other each day and not to try read "signs" when you don't have the power of divination.

They look pretty good to me.

I wish the bridge of my nose wasn't so narrow, it limits my choices even at the eye doc let alone online. I've still bought glasses online for computer use and had good results. I just have to shop harder to find frames that fit, so I can't always get the best prices.

But to reiterate: those look decent to me. I'll bet you like the way they look on you.

I just bought some nose grips that did the trick for me. I think you put one on each side but I put one just on the bridge to bring the glasses up a bit. Just right.
Twenty in a pack. I needed one. Maybe two. I have sunglasses in the same style.

In case you need a good laugh...

Right now the pair that I am wearing has 4 pads, 2 on each side. I need to stick with frames that have the adjustable pads on wires, since the molded plastic frames just aren't being made for us disappearing skinnies very much any more.

The one thing I don't like is they only had black. I should have ordered clear from Amazon but they were there so........
Black will be good on my other glasses. And these I only wear around the house.

The cruise I signed up for is going to the Greek Isles (plus a couple ports in Turkey), so I tried to learn some Greek on Duolingo and now my brain feels like a flattened cardboard box. Apparently in Greek what looks like a letter v is an n, and what looks like an italic u is an m. Boo hoo hoo.

I've been to the Greek Islands many times, as well as Turkey and Cyprus, never had to use Greek once.. everyone except the rural community speaks English very well
