My cat gave me quite a scare as soon as I sat down to relax, watch TV and eat dessert. She got herself stuck under the back panel of our computer desk. Her distress cries demanded immediate attention. I tried to free her hind parts but in her upset state, she attacked me. So I put on heavy gloves and mittens. I managed to push her hind parts forward so it looks like she's free but she must still be entangled somehow.

Behind the desk we have cables for our equipment. I hate it when she goes back there and we kitten proofed it as best we could months ago. She wound up back in the same position as before she looked "free" and attacked me the last time I tried to push her forward. She appears to be free from the bottom of the panel now but still isn't coming out.

I took this to send to my son so he'd know what I was talking about.

I suspect her foot is entangled in one of the chords but I can't tell. I called my son who is in New York and he won't be home for at least an hour! I think this will be a two person job. He has much longer arms and can contort better than me to reach her and resolve this. I hope his work gloves are handy. At least she used the litter box shortly before, she's quieted down and doesn't appear to be injured. 😱 That Little Girl, I'm tellin' ya! 🙄 Playing soothing music hoping that helps keep her calm.
Udate: Yaaay! She just freed herself!!
I'm so glad that everything worked out ok, and she isn't hurt. 💖

A day in the city of Kelowna. A bustling city, with a lot of traffic in the main streets. American-like in its flash-sign consumerist look. Not comfortable to me. But did a little shopping, including for bulk foods and a new pair of Carhart work pants.

Had my consultation & exam with my oncologist. A guy in his early 40s, likes skiing in the high country. I like him. All is well, no sign of cancer anymore.

Ate in a very noisy pub/restaurant last night. Fish & chips - quite good. Tonight great Mexican food. Driving home tomorrow. Eating some fine chocolate right now. It'll be great to be back home.
Yea for the good results!

pretty chilly today... 6 deg c.... but quite sunny.. My neighbours tulips are blooming in her front garden...

I 've cleaned the kitchen and the floors so far today.. and taken delivery of my new distance glasses.. which I use for driving at night..or watching tv..

You'll remember I bought these online last week.. they were the very cheapest frames, and the price included the lightweight frames, the lenses, the Non-scratch coating, and the maximum thinness for just £46.... when I usually pay upwards of £200 ...
They arrived today.. and I'm just delighted with them... for the price..

They look great! Nice to get a deal too!

I spent part of the day getting ready for my evening. I gave myself a manicure, shaved my eyebrows and got my clothes ready. I’m still getting acclimated to my new computer so I tried out a few applications and settings. I was waiting to get this computer setup before downloading the H & R Block tax program, so did that today. I was experimenting with display resolution settings since I'll need to have the right one to optimize using the H & R Block program. . I’ll start my taxes by mid week.

My son’s GF took me to see my dear friend Hunter perform tonight. It was at a restaurant where he appears on a semi-regular basis. The food was very good and the waitress was wonderful. My son joined us after he finished with his committment. He doesn't usually like to dance but said we had to dance when Hunter sang “I’ll Always Love My Mama”.

During Hunter’s break, he played some good music by other artists. Two songs were Latin and I just couldn’t sit down during Suavemente (House Remix) by Fred Perry.. People were on the floor already. Tonight was the first time since the 22 years I’ve known Hunter that we got to dance together, albeit briefly. I wound up bringing enough food home for tomorrow. The waitress wrapped the mozzarella bread for me as well as half of my entree which was sole stuffed with crabmeat, mashed potatoes and broccoli rabe. Also brought home half my cheesecake and she gave me a long loaf of French bread. I had a wonderful birthday.

OMGoodness! It's tomorrow. I fell asleep at the computer before I hit post!!:sleep:

Today was a more relaxed day. Must be something in the air. Others in the thread seemed to have a more chillax day today as well. The sun was shining. The neighbors were relatively quiet.

I worked on my list for my next grocery order online. I watched a tv show, did some journal pages and did some relaxation exercises.

I'll take another day like this for Sunday, please.

Good morning. I slept so well that the alarm woke me again. Oh, well, at least I'm up, right?

I think it's Sunday...crazy schedule makes no day feel like whatever day it is. Anyway, today and tomorrow, then a day off. Yay. After tomorrow, never working another Monday. More yay!

Gotta get ready for work. Catch y'all later. In the meantime, behave.

Supposed to get up to 39 degrees today. 8 right now. But the sun is shining and that makes for a beautiful day for me. My apartment stays warm even with the heat turned way down. I might walk to the ATM machine to get a little cash. After it warms up some. Not sure what else I will be doing today. Computer & coffee for now.

Bright sun shine,, chilly out.

Hubby & I went to another antique mall yesterday.
I am always amazed at how neat the displays are.

O! My friend just stopped in & gave me a hair cut. 🥰
She couldn't stay long as her husband can't sit around for long.

If my hubby hadn't been loading a truck they could have chatted.

Mac wants a walk.
Going to have to bundle up as wind is blowing. ~~~~~~~~~~~

Thanks for the reminder, @Sliverfox, I could use a haircut but don't think to make an appointment during shop hours. Just put a note on my desk.

Should be a lovely day today. Still have TGS from his overnight last night (it's not even 7:30 AM here). He'll leave in a few hours, then later on DD's family will come for dinner.

I'd be looking forward to it more if I'd gotten even a halfway decent sleep last night. Even with OTC pills, I just couldn't get my body to cooperate. So frustrating. I'm feeling semi trashed-out already and the entire day is in front of me. Best hope is that I can prep the food while TGS is still here, then crash on the couch for a couple of hours after he leaves.

I have a friend...well a penpal actually years ago who lives in kelowna.... beautiful place..

Fantastic news about the no Cancer signs...(y) have a safe journey home
Thanks Holly.

I wish that British Columbia had more pubs that are like those I experienced in Britain. Convivial places where people sip beer and talk with friends. The sound of even many human voices is fine... but not in places (too many of them over here) that perpetually have sports channels on TVs, rather-loud rock music on a sound system throughout the place, and the clientele talking loud, trying to be heard above it all!

There's one like Britain's in a town not too far from me, but I've never found one in Kelowna.

Today, finally a day I woke up without any pain. My son came over to work on the spring cleaning of the yard. Mowed front and back, cleaned up leaves and swept the porch and walk way. The back still needs a clean up of the patio then he will do the edging and trim the bushes.

I have been busy since I woke up. I always try to do as much as I can when I have a day like today. I have things cooking on the stove, mashed potatos, green beans, corn. I have some chicken breast thawed and will make some lemon cream sauce chicken with capers. If I am still going I will prep a meatloaf. I should have enough healthy food for the week ready to go.

Oh my it was time for a dog hair round up. Swept the floors but don't know if I will get them mopped today. I am on the second load of laundry and need to strip the bed for clean linens.

I go for a while, until the back yells SIT. At least there is no head and neck pain today.

I have the windows open to air the house and enjoy the fine day of fresh air!! Hope you are all feeling well and having a productive day. It gives you a whole new outlook!

Got some things done and ended up taking an unusual early nap. I got a lot more done after that though and it is almost time to figure out dinner. Very different pattern for me, but I feel like I won't end up unable to sleep close to the normal time. Whatever normal means when you're retired. :ROFLMAO:

Monday at last. Tomorrow is a day off at last! And it's even supposed to be a nice day off without rain and with warm temps at last. Yay.

After today, no more Mondays at last.

Sometimes ya just gotta put your foot down. I did. At last! I actually stood up for myself (on that foot I put down).

Mornin' all! 🌞 I think I'll start considering my spring cleaning plan/strategy today. Maybe even get a little of it done... not sure yet. I was up very early as always... and since GG didn't send me any fresh croissants, (or even stale ones for that matter!) I had to settle for a breakfast burrito with my coffee. Sigh. 😟 But I'll get over it. Right now it's time to get my day underway... have a good one, everybody!

Moring folks...another lousy sleep nite, dunno what is going on
with me, but I don't like it....ah well...today the care lady comes
to clean my mess here...doesn't look to shabby, well yeah it does, cause l leave crud laying all over the place, course I got
to pick up cause she just cleans.....catch u later on.....:coffee:
