Hi all folks!!! Glad to be here~~ aches and all LOL!!!
Sunny and 50F out side, lotsa thunder last evening but
very little rain, that passed by me....more bad weather coming
late today...Not much going on with me, usual probs, no solutions, but hey, I'm old fart, thats how it is sposed to be....
Trash co missed my pickup yesterday, again, I get so tired
of calling them....guess thats my albatross for today....hope you all make it a great day!!!!! :):devilish:

I'm home. It's a perfectly cromulent day (remember that word;)?) if still a bit chilly. As soon as the dew has dried up, I'm gonna mow.

Tomorrow's laundry day, but that won't take but an hour or so. Thinking of asking DD if she will take me to the garden center(s) this afternoon to, um, browse. And buy a new pair of nippers. I lost mine in the garden Monday. It broke my heart because those nippers and I had been a "couple" for many, many years. When I get new ones, I'm gonna paint the handles with fluorescent pink paint so they'll never get lost again.

Yanno what? The Bank of Gramma is closed, too. No more 💸💸. DGD has a serious and debilitating case of fibromyalgia, and I really feel for her. There are way too many days when she's unable to work at all. While I'd like to help, I've decided that it's really up to DD/DSIL to cut their own expenses and provide the financial help. The good news is that at last they've found a medical practice that's exclusively for the treatment of fibromyalgia. She's been seeing a rheumatologist. Geez, we can put a man on the moon but can't cure diseases that affect millions of people worldwide.

About the new full-time person at work: she's going to work from 11pm-7am baking cookies. Eight hours of cookies? Okay.

When we begged for a night person to do all manner and sort of jobs that could best be done at night, the response was that there was no money in the budget for another person, not even just part time.

Either HR lady's GD wanted a job or HR lady wanted her to have a job is anybody's guess, but there's now money in the budget for another full-time employee. Mmhmm. In either case, it will be nice to not have to play Beat the Clock every day trying to get it all done.

Sir assured me that there's no way on earth they'd move me to another store. Management assured us that there's no way on earth that we could get another employee in the bakery. Mmhmm.

I'll relax when I meet my 💰goals in EF and savings.

I get up at 5 AM every morning but I had a medical appt 25 miles away at 8:30 AM and I figured I better set the alarm, but turned it off 4.50 AM.

It has the most horrible sound-but I guess they all do.

Two med appts in March, both went well, and an eye appointment next month.

Today lunch is a grilled ham, cheese, and tomato sandwich, and I am also stewing half a chicken (with the other half in the freezer') with usual trilogy vegs, and a parsnip and if there is enough liquid left over for tomorrow I might add canned okra and some nice white rice for a gumbo.

It is 60 degrees here and later I will do some yard work. I have two large rose bushes and their canes have to be cut off.

I love being outside!!!!!!!

Maybe I could Fax it to you!

You have a Very Busy LIFE!!!!!!!!!! Our local ( 25 miles away) bakery closed during COVID and never re-opened again-the only good place for real goodies opens next month- and it is an big garden shop, with flower and vegetable sets and they also have a baker who makes the best Grape pie around and some fantastic pumpkin and chocolate chip loaves and also some lemon and cranberry loaves , great scones, and various types of excellent Italian , Greek, and other types of bread-and all are YUMMY!!!!!!

I started to bake again this winter because I don't like the goodies at the Dollar store, but come April I will really get some good baked stuff!

You know when you buy the new nippers the other ones will show up....and that will be cromulent.

DD popped her head in my door about 3:30 and asked if I wanted to go to the garden center. I wasn't going to ask because she gets up at 3:30 to take me to work and wears out, too. But when she asked? Yay and h*ll to the yes!! There was stuff she needed to get from Home Depot for one of the a/c vents, and we couldn't just leave without checking out the flowers and stuff and get new nippers.

@hearlady I won't be a bit surprised if I find the old nippers tomorrow. Cromulent:)

Snapdragons. I got snapdragons and lavender. Lavender has never liked me much, but I'm gonna try again. Hope springs eternal.

It's 76 and sunny. Still promising to be another dandy day tomorrow.

Six days until spring! Six! Count 'em 👉6👈count 'em! Woohoo. Projected weather for the first day of spring is only 56 but sunny.

Catching up with everyone's posts on the thread. I just got up after having slept for 15 hours. I lay down for a 1 hour nap and ended up sleeping for 14 more hours. I'm so happy to get the sleep. I was so tired yesterday that nothing was getting done anyway.

My routine is a bit off, and this might throw off my schedule for a while, but I'm still happy about it. ☺️
