Good morning/afternoon/evening fellow SF-ers, depending on where you are. High 60s here today and the wind has slowed down, so a lovely day in store here.

Had a weird computer issue this morning with my keyboard going wonky. Plugged in another keyboard, same problem. Rebooting didn't help nor did a virus scan. Finally uninstalled the driver, rebooted again, and voila, I'm back in the saddle again.

Got everything done on yesterday's to-do list (yay!) and have only minor things on today's. Since TGS will be here from tomorrow morning through Sunday late afternoon, anything not accomplished today will shift to Monday or Tuesday.

The rain and thunder has finally arrived, a day later. I have to take little girl dog into the vet this afternoon for a check. Hopefully this will be her last visit. I put the litte boy dog on his new trazadone medication a few days ago. It seems to be helping with his storm anxiety.

Doing some cooking, just easy stuff but tasty. Need to change the bed linens. Of course then there will be laundry. The towels are in now and the sheets will follow.

I slept very well last night. My heavenly husband came by to fill my dreams. It was good to see him in his now healthy body. I know he is fine there but I do miss him so much.

Hope everyone has a good day!

And work called me at home on my own time to "correct" something that isn't a mistake on my part? This could very well be the last straw. You know, the straw that broke the camel's🐫 back.

I wonder if there's something in the union contract about calling employees at home when they're clocked out.

I was thinking the same thing. Find out.

That's completely out of order... not acceptable in the least!

Just when I thought I was being paranoid about HR lady's GD being assigned to the bakery. Pffft. Wednesday a lady wearing a hairnet and a Kroger apron turned up asking when she's supposed to be there. Seems she was hired to work in the bakery, but when she clocked in first day was told to report to the floral department. Well. Nobody in the floral department, and the supervisor there wasn't scheduled to be there for another couple of hours. She (new hire) wasn't on a schedule anywhere...

So Sir told her to check with HR lady. HR lady not there, either.

Remember I said I didn't read the handwriting on the wall because it was right there on paper?

Yup. Beginning of the end. I'm being set up. I hope I can hang on for a few more weeks at least. Don't have a long way to go to meet my $$ goal.

ETA: Trust issues. Now I have trust issues :ROFLMAO:. Consider that @jet bought a ticket for @hollydolly but is only building a separate compartment in a suitcase for me. Trust no one! Not even @jet.

this sounds ridiculous... why can't they just be upfront, hire a youngster for the bakery.. knowing help is needed.. and let her work alongside you and learn the job..

I agree it seems they're being underhand in an effort to get you to leave ...but if you can just hang on for a few more weeks.. you'll reach your financial goal, and they can stick their croissants where the sun doesn't shine...

Yanno what? I don't even wanna be there anymore. I really like the work I do but really don't like the whispering, the intrigue, the behind-the-scenes drama. I really do like payday, though, and disappointed that my $$ goal won't be reached.
Are you sure that you are not worrying for nothing? Companies are hiring seniors for their work ethic and you have ethics, loyalty, and commitment.
If worse comes to worse though, I promise you'll be happy. That is once you calm down and stop throwing stuff. 😉

@hearlady Yup. It's throwing stuff that they get all ticked off about and don't like yeast dough stuck to the walls, floors, work spaces and especially don't like it when it's stuck in other departments :ROFLMAO: or in the registers at the self checkout.

I don't think I'm worrying for nothing. Every day there's something new to badger me about, little stuff, stuff that has nothing to do with me, silly stuff. Just tired of it and can see why an assistant store manager turned in his notice a few days ago. Someone close to him has said that he was fed up with the poor treatment. He was set up so that he'd quit. He did.

Wish I could be "sick" tomorrow:sick:

The blue dot was me about an hour ago, headed east…

I managed to avoid the rain ⛈️🚙☔️. Now I’m home and I can hear thunder in the distance. I think we’re in for a night of rain which will put the trimming of my pecan tree back—yet again— another few days til we’ve had enough dry days in a row to get the heavy equipment in my yard without tearing everything up. Ah well…

We'll see if it makes it to NC.

@hawkdon, your welcome here but it is just beans, roasted red potatoes, cornbread. You will have to have left over peach cobbler for dessert!! Did not make the coleslaw thanks to @hollydolly.

Got the vet appt. done and little girl has a shiney bright super duper pooper now. Thank goodness, she is well.

Brought her home, then straight back out to the mall. @hollydolly talking about all those pretties she got on sale so I thought I would try my luck. Came home with 2 heavy long cardigans, 1 pair of pants, 4 new shirts for next year. Really good deal of $75 for all. Thanks Holly for pushing my shop button!!

I am just worn out now. I got overheated, does anyone turn red all over when they are out and about. I was putting the stuff in the car and noticed my hands and arms were beet red. What the hell is that? Not the first time, I don't feel bad, just flushed the high heaven.
