More business spreadsheet work in front of me today. Tomorrow TGS will be here for the day and there's no chance of getting computer work done while he's here. When he naps, DH & I catch naps of our own or just chillax and regroup.

Got a load of laundry going but am not looking for any applause there. The machines do all the work - it's not like I have to walk down to the river and slap the clothes against the rocks.

Back to the spreadsheets... will check in on you peeps later!

Husbands doing our taxes. We have 4 years worth to do. Two years are done already. We have a business to write off. I’m repainting our bathroom. It’s a big job but really needs doing. The taping it up is the biggest job though. Soon I am going up be stopping to make Mexicans can food. We shall be having tacos, tortillas and nachos. It’s been years since we had Mexican food.

After a short nap, I got a bit of second wind and mowed the lawn and yanked a couple of weeds. I'm still hungry so maybe a bowl of cereal and fruit will hold me for a while.

I don't wanna be bothered with cleaning the carpet. I'd rather go to the garden center, but DD is still busily cleaning away upstairs. Drat. Maybe after work tomorrow.

This must be very exciting for you, Sue. I hope everything else goes as smoothly. It's nice to know those guys will be donating things!

I'm looking forward to more updates on your move. I love to hear about fresh starts!

I think I recall you saying you won't be moving too far from your friend Marcia. So, I'm hoping they won't miss you too much, especially Tage.
I'm still planning on dog sitting Tage after I move whenever Marcia&Dave need me. My walk will be a bit longer, instead of being 2 blocks away from their house,it will be 3-4. Sue

I had to call one of my credit card companies with a query , they are a subsidiary of an International Company

There was no time lag and altho' I could hear the very helpful operator had a slight accent.. he spoke perfect English and the line was very clear.. so I presumed he was here in the UK. I asked him where he was , and was blown away to be told he was in the Philippines... and it was 11.30pm. This was at 4.30pm my time..

Usually if we get connected to an overseas operator we can tell by the tone of the ringing, the slight time lag, and of course the heavy accents..( usually India).. but none of that this time... and the call was only charged at the local rate!

Welcome to the Internet of Ringy-dingies!

Wandering around DT Toronto. It’s too cold and windy for April and/or me. My DD got her things together for her wedding next week. I hope she ordered better weather. It’s only 8:30 and I’m wondering what time is acceptable to go to bed.

Tonight’s dinner was at a nearby pub. I wasn’t expecting much and it was excellent for pub food.

After my Friday day of rest, I ended up watching a couple tv shows, then going to bed early. Slept for 10 1/2 hours which was helpful.

Today I did a whole bunch of financial stuff.

Neighbor's dog was barking a lot of the day, but luckily it was overcast enough that the neighbors didn't go outside. That gave me enough concentration to do as much as I did today.

Off to make 🥐 🥐. Hundreds of 🥐🥐.
I just had one with my coffee about ten minutes ago... perfect way to start a day, 'cept I'm betting yours would be a whole lot better. :giggle:
Mornin' everyone! 🌞 As far as my plans for today... I did the taxes yesterday. All by my lonesome and I absolutely detest and dread it every year. So today is going to be a "Pamper Kate Day" filled with fun things. Like a croissant at 4:30 a.m. (y)

Every day I say I am going to try to go for a walk in the park and I don't get to it. If the day is reasonable I will really try today. I need to get outside for a bit. It is not like the park is that far, just across the street. Beyond that I do not have any plans.

Last night there was a musical going on in the theater which is in the other half of my apartment building. An alarm was going off somewhere in the building and when I stepped outside my apartment door to the hall I could hear the performance. Inside my apartment I didn't hear a thing. In fact, I barely heard the alarm.

This is what the winds ( storm Kathleen) is doing around the country...

fortunately at least we have sunshine here in the South..... unlike many other places

I was babysitting last night and the 4-year-old had gone upstairs to play in her room. A while later. I hear her call out, "I NEED TOILET PAPER!" Hmmm, I had just put a new roll on the spindle earlier....

Yep, she needed paper BECAUSE she had just used the entire roll. The toilet was completely filled with toilet paper and she had already tried to flush....sigh.

Clog City. I get her situated, gather up a couple or garbage bags, gloves and two kinds of plungers and start the disgusting job of removing as much paper and poop ( I swear a horse used the toilet) as possible.

Then I plunged....and plunged....and plunged.... For the next two hours I dragged my aching knees up and down those steps. Plunge, wait a while, plunge, wait a while, plunge.... Nothing was working.

Finally, this morning, it worked.

It's a good thing they're adorable or I would have sold the little one to the first band of Gypsies who came by. Sold? Heck, I would have paid them!
