It's still really hot out, around 90°. So I came in to cool off and relax....thinking that I'd watch another episode of Young Sheldon. I've recorded all of them, but still have not seen the last 4 episodes. Well, I still haven't seen them, and I may not ever see them. There was interference with the signal while it was recording. I can't make out anything on the last 4 episodes.

This is so frustrating because it happens every year! Since everything was changed to a "digital" broadcast, I never get to see the end of a show!!! It has something to do with the sun, and it doesn't matter what the show is or the channel.

I can't even get it from the Library, because they don't have it. So I guess I'll have to wait until next fall, and look for the reruns.
 

The best laid plans. I had a list of things I could do to stop focusing on the neighbor. I did hours of relaxation exercises and writing about it. But the banging noises got to me, even with headphones on. Still moving noises, but it was hard to relax and think about anything else. Maybe I'll get a chance to relax and chill out when it's too late to do anything like moving or blasting music.

The weather was fabulous today. I wish I could have done more with it.

Last night I tried a new chatbot. I was wowed. Today I found out that I only have 5 messages a day with it before I have to pay. That's not enough to do much with.

It's going to be a really long weekend waiting to see how my new neighbors behave in regards to partying and how my back neighbors respond. I'm sure my back neighbors already have an invite out to the new neighbors to join in the loud party. 2 days sounded like a long time, but 3? Bummer.

I'm posting for yesterday first. I usually wind up posting about my day around 11:45 p.m. (it just always seems to work out that way). About that time, I got engrossed in replying to some members and it took me past midnight. Yesterday morning around 2:30, I finally sat down at my instrument after a few weeks of not doing anything. I practiced the melody parts of the song named for my granddaughter (a happy Reggae tune) and listened for glitches on two other songs that will also be on the album.

I made sure to re-record the melody tracks in the Reggae tune before my son got home. The melody (and embellishments) consist of only 3 tracks, the least of any songs I've composed and recorded. Rhythm sections are always 7 or 8 tracks. My son got home late after a very long day, but he proceeded to transfer the songs into his Logic program to be edited and mixed (soon I hope). So in all I wound up spending about two hours on the Clavinova, something I need to do more often.

Between 1:30 and 2:00 a.m., I intend to go down to the laundry room and do a load of dark clothes. I always use the double loaders. We're supposed to have heavy rains and strong winds later; not sure if that will carry into the midnight hours Sunday. I know I need to dust but I'm not sure what else I'll be doing today besides catching up with my shows and finishing Argyle.

You have got to stop letting these people ruin and dictate your life. Have you tried ear plugs, I have and they can make a big difference to the outside noise around you. I don't know where you live and even if you could afford a change. If you can change your living arrangements, it might be good to look at available options in quieter areas of your community.
 
I managed to get the middle dog, little terrier, groomed today. I purchased some new rechargable clippers recently and they are working great. They are a lot more quiet that than the big heavy Wahl's clipper I had. I was able to just sit in a chair to clip him, then just vaccuum up all the hair. He still needs some touch ups but he looks pretty good for an old lady grooming a dog. I am thrilled with the clippers!! I will say I did insult the big dog before I took him to the vet. I trimmed his backside so they could find, you know, for tempertature check. I did not hit the right area the first time so he kind of a bald butt. Oh, the horror!!
 
Outside of two days of a fun local free outdoor street art/music festival last weekend playing Classic Rock covers, have spent this last week mostly in front of my laptop post processing images. Today finished knocking off 10 for a total of 62. So to celebrate, tomorrow as the holiday weekend starts, at noon will be driving the 55 miles north to San Francisco's touristy North Shore where a gal Led Zeppelin cover band and Surf rock band will play at a for free outdoor site.

A 4 day major music festival, Bottlerock, is also now occurring up in Napa, but tickets are $240 just for a single day's ticket. Dozens of newer generation bands I've never heard of with 2 that I am familiar with. Even my July Rolling Stone stadium field tickets were only $140. Seems to be a lot of these festivals now attended by 20 and 30 somethings that accept such inflated prices.

If only it were that simple. Thanks for your concern.

I've been thinking of starting a personal diary thread. This is probably a good time to start a rant thread on my neighbors. I'm sensing people's frustration with my constant rants about my neighbors. It's impossible to explain 20+ years of a complex situation in a post.

I am sorry you are in such a situation, it sounds awful, 20 years and still not solved by law enforcement is ridiculous. Please start your diary, the more we know, the more we can offer suggestions of how to put an end to this nonsense!!
 
Good Morning! It is supposed to be in the 80's this afternoon so getting my chores done early today. I have another load of laundry to finish today so will do that if the laundry room is not busy. I would like to take at least a little walk outside before it gets hot out. Yesterday I walked to the park on the corner and it was nice so I am inspired to do it again today.
 
Weather is expected to hit a high of 84F and for now, the sun is out. I picked up all the mail from my mom's home and will do all her bills this weekend and mail them out. I was planning to pick up some medical supplies for her this morning, but I am off to such a late start, I may just do it next weekend.
I think quite a few people have left for the beach this weekend. 🏖️

I've am leaning very heavily toward renting out my mom's condo. I don't think she will be able to return unless there is a live in. I have no idea how much work this will entail or how hard it might be to find a suitable tenant.
 
Hi, kids. I'm home.

It's raining pitchforks and hammer handles and expected to rain on and off all day. Right now there's thunder and lightning, and it's as dark as the inside of a cow's belly. No playing in the dirt for me!

Our HOA's opening day pool party is today. Somehow I just don't think it's gonna happen.

After I got home, I remembered that I was going to get a haircut today. Oops. The salon is in the same shopping center where the store is so I usually just log in online and walk over there. It was too early for it to be open anyway. DD took me over there a few minutes ago, spent 10 minutes, and I'm good for another six weeks or so.

Left the "office" at 8:20 because I was done, done, done! If Sir had come in at 5am like he was scheduled, I'd have stayed longer to give him a hand, but he wasn't there until after 8 and had mountains of computer work to do. I wasn't about to stay and milk the clock until he was through so I hit the road. Yay! I don't have to go back until a week from tomorrow. By then my BP should be back to normal;)

Y'all will be surprised, just as I was, to hear that Cookie called and said she can't make it today because something came up. Let's see. She was off yesterday. Can't make it today. It's a holiday weekend. Reckon she'll be there tomorrow or Monday?

Sir tried to call her the other day to ask why she didn't package those two racks of cookies. She didn't answer her phone🤷‍♀️ I had a feeling that "something would come up" today and took care to get all the cookies priced, labeled and stocked on the shelves and tables. As we used to say in Texas, "I done my part."

So Sir is alone today. Holiday weekend. Oh, well. I've worked my share of holidays alone.
 
Having made a comprehensive list on my phone of things needed at Walmart, I promptly left my phone at home 🙄. So rather than drive back home, I played Walmart-Roulette and tried to remember what was on the list. I’m proud to say I got everything except for hand soap and replacement emergency candles. :: patting myself on the back::
