Whoever owns a piece of land will never run out of work. A branch fell on my neighbor's parcel, and I am cleaning it up. Because it
will be again 100 degrees today, I can work only from sunrise till 10 a.m. and from 6 p.m. till it gets dark. I am using a hedge trimmer
for pruning branches that are hanging too low while my pups are watching me.

Amen brother. It's never ending. (y)

My wife and older daughter just came back from visiting relatives in Vancouver B.C. The airplane last night had an eight hours delay.
While in Vancouver, they took a boat excursion and saw (left) a seal and bald eagle, and (right) the tail of a diving whale

In the meantime, my younger daughter's family went camping along the ocean. Question: who digs faster, my grandson or his puppy?

IMGP4501.JPG

Left: What would be camping without a campfire? Roasting marshmallows.
Right: And my grandson got so excited when they saw a deer; he wanted to run and hug it.

These are camera pictures of iPhone pictures (poor quality) but I don't know yet how to make a direct transfer

Happy birthday, Dio!

I didn't sleep well last night, my knee was hurting enough to keep me awake. It's funny, my knee didn't hurt me yesterday, at all...not even once, and I skated for over an hour and a half! It doesn't hurt now, either. But every time I laid down, the pain would start. Eventually I took 2 extra strenth acetaminophen and I was able to sleep a bit. However, I am having trouble maintaining focus today, so this will be a short post.

I'm going to take a nap. 😴

My large tree branch knocked down part of my neighbor's fence with another neighbor, and now my neighbor can't let his goats out
to feast on the weeds. So, tomorrow morning at 7:00 a.m. my neighbor, my son-in-law, and I will again straighten out that fence.
Looks like the pups are saying, "Be careful Dad!"

Morning friends!!! A quiet day to begin with here...semi cloudy
but going to be moderate temps at least, maybe 85F today and
no rain....not much planned for today, just go with the flow...still
having pain issues from the fall, but oh well....am thinking about
getting a rollator type walker for in here, maybe one that will
let me go outside a bit....even a pro hermit like me needs to get
out sometimes!!! y'all take care y'hear !!!!!!!;):giggle::coffee:

@MaxHarris I didn't know it was possible to spend that much in Aldi. It would cover their entire inventory :ROFLMAO:

It's not expected to rain until this afternoon, but I don't feel like puttering the dirt right now. It's been a few days so I guess I gotta put on the Wellies and get out there, and the kitchen cabinets that I put off until today are still there waiting...

Tomorrow is DGS' 26th birthday. He has insisted that he's going to cook his own birthday dinner at his house. That means I gotta go out.

Having lunch with DS and DSIL Thursday. That means I gotta go out.

Appointment with cataract surgeon on Friday to measure for lenses. That means I gotta go out.

I'm starting to dislike calendars as much as phones and clocks.

Get one that has the seat so that if you get tired, you can sit while you "rollator" yourself back to the house.

It's racing towards 1pm, up until a few minutes ago it's been overcast, but now the sun is breaking through and forecast to be hot and sunny for the rest of the day.

The fence first coat has dried and is looking much more evenly coated now... maybe later today I'll do the second coat.. depends how I feel.. right now, I'm not the feeling the best, but that could change..

I had a plasterer due to come tomorrow to fix the kitchen wall where next door's bathroom flooded into my house, but his company called this morning and said that he's taken emergency leave, and they've now booked him in for the second week of August.. promising if they can get someone before that they will send them...

Yesterday afternoon, I briefly talked with our weekend receptionist, Abby She said to me' "You look familar did you work in pharmacy dept at Buffalo General Hospital'? I said' Yes, as a pharm tech'. It turns out Abby's mom, Judy was one of the pharmacists, knew her well, small world
On my early walk this morning at 6:45, walked twice around our complex, temps was 66 refreshing with a slight breeze Today I invited Don& his partner Dave again for lunch, Don lives in the apt building where I used to live, Dave has his own place. I miss seeing them on a daily basis but we keep in touch, I'm looking forward to seeing them again
I'm having dinner tonight with Connie, a resident I've liked since day 1. She's on the' Welcome Committee' called me a couple days after I moved in, invited me to join her dinner in diningroom. I didn't know what to expect that first time was a bit nervous, she put me at ease. There were 2 other residents I didn't know but do now. Connie&I just seemed to hit it off, she's been living here since 2019 She has dinner every night in dining room{ except Sun its closed}, which I don't always a nice change when I'm invited

That is type I have. In fact, I have 2! Keeping an extra in case something happens to the first one. I credit the walker with giving me my independence. Now I use it almost constantly in my apartment. Inside or outside it is my steady companion. You should get one.

Well I've just finished painting the second coat on the fence panels... It's so hot and humid, I was desperate to finish it, to be able to come in and cool off...

I've cleared all the plant pots and the fence planters etc...on the other side of the garden with the longer fencing in prep for when I do that. Might be later today, might be later in the week.

I've got my windows to wash in a little while. It doesn't take long they're never that dirty....

It's 3pm..I'm just having some Swedish meatballs for my lunch while I'm typing this...
