Why does the whole room have to get wet? With a "wall" of less than a foot, it should be enough that the water stays in shower, if it had a drain there. I don't like the toilet, either. No, I don't like a wet room at all.
PS, @hollydolly didn't realize you have been looking to move for three years.

Hi, y'all. @hearlady You'll get better soon. Because I said so. @hawkdon You be careful going for your stroll today!

Today's good news is that our temps are coming down. Today might not even make it to 90 and the rest of the week going steadily down so that by the end of the week only mid- to high-70s. Yay!!

We had a surprise thunderstorm Thursday night, but the promises of more Friday night and last night were empty promises. However...we might get some rain this afternoon. No guarantee, but where there's life, there's hope, right?

This every two hours with the drops stuff is really getting to me. By 8 last night after the final drops for the day were done, I was feeling so far down I'd have had to reach up to scratch a snake's belly and just went to bed (because I couldn't find a snake's belly to scratch).

One of the eye drops is to ward off infection, and I'm done with those on Tuesday. I have no idea how long I have to use the steroid drops but have a phone appointment on Tuesday so will ask the nice doc. The third kind is just to use twice a day. I can handle that.

The worst part of all this is that there's no gardening allowed for four weeks. Four!!! Weeks!!! That's cruel and unusual punishment😭

I refuse to let this :poop: rule my day again so started off by asking DD to take me somewhere, anywhere, just to get out of here for a bit. As it turned out, it was time for me to replenish my cash stash, and we went to the ATM, then to McD's for free coffee using her McD's points. She has agreed to take me for a spin again around noon. Actually, we're going to the park to feed the geese and ducks. No bread allowed. We feed them peas.

We already know that @RadishRose is off to spoil the baby, @Capt Lightning is painting the ceiling and @-Oy- is going to feed piggies. Wonder what kind of monkey business @Trila and @hollydolly are up to today?
Yes! The weather is going to be great! Sorry you can't garden. I know that's going to be hard. At least sit outside and enjoy.

Although this Covid bout has left me with a residual cough, otherwise I'm feeling like myself again. Hoping @hearlady and her hubby are also back in the pink again soon.

@RadishRose, how fun!!! I know you'll have a great day and they'll undoubtedly be thrilled with your thoughtful tray of mac & cheese.

@Georgiagranny, I understand about the hassle of the drops, but what about your vision? Haven't you noticed it to be remarkably clearer with colors more vibrant since the surgery (when drops aren't clouding it, of course)?
I think we've both turned the corner today. Tomorrow we should be a lot better. 🤗

This is the same layout as the flat I'm thinking of getting... this is the livingroom.. but in the flat I'm Interested in the kitchen has no doors

...and this is the livingroom of another similar apartment... but looking the opposite way in the livingroom from the kitchen

Well it's good thing you're not buying it....there are 2 bathrooms, only one is a wet room.. they are greatly sought after in the Uk.. they're especially useful for the disabled and elderly..which I will be soon if God spares me ... who cannot haul themselves into a bath or shower themselves

@hollydolly, I’d love to have a wet room bathroom. Our house can’t be retrofitted for one. A friend who is a top notch tiler built one. He angled the floor so very, very little water flows out.

Having two bathrooms, even if one doesn’t have much storage, is really an asset. A medicine cabinet could be added to the wall.

Oh, goody. DD took me out again for a short spin. We went to Kirkland's, one of my favorite places to browse and get ideas. They have all their Hallowe'en stuff out, of course, and even some Thanksgiving decorations already because Hallothanksmas👻🦃🎄

They also had a chair. A really nice, small chair. It was marked down to $239 from $499. I wanted it and came thisclosetobuyingit. However, I went online to see if there was a picture, and their URL took me to Wayfair. What? It's $189 on Wayfair. Hmmm. Maybe I'll go back tomorrow and look at it again to make sure it's the same chair.

Breaking up the two-hour times for eye drops has helped my disposition tremendously.

The skies opened up and dumped on us in a really big way for about 30 minutes. Yay!

ETA: And just a second ago I looked at the chair again on Wayfair. The price came down by $10? Then I logged on to Kirkland's site, and it took me right to Kirkland. Wonder what the what?

I reorganized the contents of boxes containing soaps, candles, gift bags and Deja’s toys before putting them back in the storage closet. Around 10:00, my son set up microphones and interviewed me for a project he’s working on that will be dedicated to me. He’s being somewhat mysterious about it so all he would tell me is that it will include the collection of 45s I gave to him a few years back (between 200 and 250 records). Most of our unscripted interview, which he said was part one, was centered on how I developed a love of music, including the artists and genres I’ve been into. It took close to an hour and we had fun doing it.

Afterward, he sat with me while I refilled three pill cases. Of course, we had more conversation, which also wound up being about music. I finished watching a movie as I ate lunch. Since my sleep has been intermittent at best, I napped for a couple of hours and woke up around 7:15. I finished loading the dishwasher, fed the furry one, microwaved a quick dinner (leftover crab cake and broccoli) and resumed watching another movie while I ate. When I get off the computer, I plan to watch more T.V. and play a couple of games of Words With Friends.

A quiet day today I think. Torrential rain here at the moment. Just picked up a new hearing aid and it’s bliss! I’ve been running on one for the last month and struggling as the broken one was the one I rely on most. Currently waiting for a nice bacon and sausage barm in one of my favourite cafes. The hearing aid place is upstairs so it’d be rude not to :ROFLMAO:

The lady had her heart ablation performed last week. Your's truly is the chief cook and bottle washer for the next few weeks. Later, I'm taking her to have her nails "done." Before surgery she had to scrub clean of all make up, that included nail varnish.

Later, the old MG will get an outing as I book it into The Classic and Steam Vehicle Show, a three day event commencing on Friday 6th.

This evening I shall prepare a beef chow mein from yesterday's roast beef leftovers. Sometime between those chores I need to get the vacuum cleaner out. It's all go for us house-husbands.

I hope Mrs.Horseless Carriage is keeping well after her procedure. Make up removal reminds me of my time in IBM when a Disk manufacture took place in ultra-clean 'clean rooms'. The female staff had to remove all traces of make up before putting on white overalls and masks. At lunch time it was not unusual to see them re-apply their cosmetics before having to remove them less than an hour later.

This seems like the season for vintage vehicle shows. This village hosts one in July and many other nearby towns have similar shows throughout the summer. The ones I really like are at the Grampian transport museum which hosts 'themed' events such as steam, military, emergency services and performance. The museum is at Alford - pronounced Afford - so one theme is a pun for the 'All Ford' show.

Yup. Because there's just no break from now until the first of the year. Even then, the Valentine's stuff will be out on December 26. Thanksgiving kind of gets lost in the retail world between Hallowe'en and Christmas, though.

Glad you slept well. It's a good start on gaining back your strength. Vitamin B12 helps, too.

Remember when Labor Day was a day where almost nobody had to work? Geez. Labor Day is a day when the common laborers shouldn't have to work at all...and get paid for it.

I didn't get up until 7 again so my 6-10-12-2-4-6-8 routine is an hour off again today with the blankety-blank eye drops. Sigh. Tonight I'm gonna set my phone alarm to get me up at 5:45.

Probably not gonna buy the chair that I mentioned yesterday but asking DD to take me to Kirkland's again anyway because I didn't get to see everything yesterday👀 because there's just too much stuff there. And it's right next door to Barnes & Noble, where it's fun to browse.

Morning all, happy Labor Day....I'm not doing any, labor that is...
course don't know who will wash the leftover dishes, ah well,
slept fair, up several times.....this noise in my head is troublesome at times, got a pill to take for tinitus, looks like

this is enuff from me.....take care and have a great day!!!!;):p

Bright sunny morning in PA and Hubby is out buzzing away on some logs.

Mac wants on the back porch to get teased by the cat.
She runs back & forth under the back deck.
He grumbles & runs on the porch trying to keep track of her.

With tomatoes & zucchini producing ,,made a salad of them.
Added some chopped onion & celery.
Italian dressing worked well with them.

Hubby even had 2 helpings!

It's the creeping darkness of Autumn & Winter that I despise. It's already dark at only eight pm, going down fast. A warm, sunny day helps, but that doesn't make it summer. Summer is bright through the evening. Hot it might get, fleetingly, but it's over Johnny, it's over. @hollydolly

Also, my son went back to work, my grandson will be back at school Thursday so I have no playmates on a daily basis, whether in person or FaceTime. sigh.
