Well it was overcast , then it rained a little and then the sun came out for about an hour or 2.. not glorious but at least not grey.. but it was very warm
We went first to the garden centres alley.. as it's called, because there's about 8 or 9 of them all in the same road. WE just went to our favourite one because it also sells ladies clothes and shoes.. and I bought a beautiful lined sleeveless dress.. in a kind of fern shade of green, with pattern...
Then we went off to the Vintage Motor museum.. I thought the kids had gone back to school..they haven't so it was a little bit of PITA because there was screaming , and crying kids everywhere inside..and the place altho' 4 floors high is very cramped so everyone is on top of one another, no escaping screeching toddlers..
Fortunately in the courtyard which was far more interesting to me, no-one brought their little kids...screaming or otherwise..
I'll post the photos of the Vintage Motor museum on the photo thread later .. it's mainly Vintage vehicles, but the inside museum has small collections of Vintage toys, Books.. travel Ephemera.. drivers log books, passengers tickets.. all from the past.. as well as some stuff from the war...
they had vintage typewriters, sewing machines.. all sorts..
Anyway after that we went to have lunch.. and this is where we had it.. . It's massive inside, so many dining areas.. .. is set in beautiful grounds. In a couple of weeks they're having a huge make-over so I hope they keep the glorious ambience..
