Bisquick is a basic boxed dry mix, that can be used for biscuits/scones, pancakes, waffles a flour mixture and a leavening agent in it. I am sure there is comparable product in the UK. It is widely used in all kinds of things here. Does that help? I am sure you could see it on amazon or google.
Yes I understand but my point is most people don't use packet mix here for food...

Office visit with my PCP today. I love seeing him. He's a humble, sweet man. I'll never forget how wonderful he was with my mother. Not only does he take time with me and explains everything, we always wind up talking about music. He is also very cool. He has the same kind of instrument that I have and plays keyboard in a band. They've even performed in Atlantic City.

Both our sons are into producing music; his is working on a promo for an upcoming music special. Got to love that he's also a fan of my music. Despite our conversation this was the fastest I've ever gotten in and out of his office (under an hour) since I started seeing him 20 plus years ago.

My NuWave oven heating unit died suddenly the other day. Luckily I have a spare from when I had to replace the first oven (as did many others) due to a cracked dome. After searching for a way to solve the problem and not finding one, I pulled out the other one and I now have a working oven again.

@CinnamonSugar I am SO sorry you are going through this!

I have no idea what you're talking about with Biscuit mix or Bisquick ...lol... can they be made without using a packet mix ?
You have to remember Holly that in the US, what we Brits call a biscuit, Americans call a cookie, whilst an American biscuit is something resembling a British scone. For what it's worth, I never knew that sausages had balls either.

Today I won't be needed at work, how many times have I heard that before? That leaves me free to get my trousers from the dry cleaners, drop off the pair that I managed to spill coffee on and buy some provisions that we are getting low on.

Yesterday I volunteered to cook today's evening meal, by doing so I know that the trousers that are coming together in her cabin, will be ready that much sooner. We are having mushroom stroganoff, a favourite of the lady and one of two meat-free meals that we have every week.

If there's time later, and clement weather, I shall give the old MG a wash and valet.

Okay, I got over myself.
Yesterday was horrible, but not for reasons I thought it would be. While watching my beloved Young & Restless CBS conks out! Static, broken picture, in and out voices! On all three TVs!!!!!!!!!!!! Luckily, it was a 'bridge' day----went back to regular stuff, Sharon 'murdering' Heather was not on the menu, thank goodness!

I call my cable co., Optimum. They put me with a robot. For 40 minutes! I'm crazed by the time I speak to a human. I won't go into details, too anxiety ridden. Can't relive it. Long story short, tech cable guy coming today. Today, 8am-11am.

Then, get phone call from GP's office. Doctor setting up unscheduled TeleHealth appt. for today. Seems he MUST speak with me about blood results from last week. Uh oh. Today, at noon. Put this in back of mind. Don't need more worry & anxiety. Back of mind.

But the worst, the very worst. I was looking for two suit jackets I want to wear. I have the skirts, won't wear those, but want the jackets. Saw two suitcases in clothes closet. Tried to pick them up. Couldn't. Lost all strength I had when I put them in closet decades ago. Managed. Almost fell over backwards from the weight.

Almost fall. Must avoid falls. First suitcase filled to brim with mother's papers & other items. I forgot I had them. Second suitcase: Remembered contents as I'm still looking for my jackets.......my mother's suitcase from her trip to Miami Beach.......where she was KILLED, my poor mother. Opened suitcase. THE SMELL, THE AROMA, THE SCENT!!!!!!!!!! My Mother! Filled with stuff she had worn. All these years, the smell of her intact. I Reeled with Intense Grief! As I write this, I have a stabbing pain in my heart!

Bad day yesterday. Started out bad, bad all day. I must rid contents of suitcases so son does not have to do it when I die.

Didn't find my jackets. Wonder where they are? Why would I have thrown them out, they are gorgeous! Must find.

The spectre of throwing out mother's clothes & smelling her scares me to ......... somewhere dark. Took me years to empty her closet while it still smelled like her. Suitcases now under my bed. Dragged them. So weak, I've become so weak.

Must get ready for cable guy. Takes me a long time to get ready these days.

It is very difficult for me to type. My hands shake unbearably. Hard to type. Hard to speak. Hard, life has become hard.

I guess I gave enough details, huh?

Thank you.I forget biscuits are cookies in the UK. I don't use bisquick but I have made my own baking mix.
The sausage become the balls. Don't ruin it for me. 😁
Mushroom stroganoff sounds wonderful!

I don't know. Is it safe to post? Or will some knucklehead start a thread about me? Good morning ALL.

Busy day. Wait, too vague. Details later.
Pepper, you're calling people knuckleheads, that's very unfair, you were downright rude to people yesterday... sorry to say but you owe some people an apology really... .

I know you're not well but many of us have big issues too and we don't take it out on the folks......hope you feel better today...

Yes there might be, but I don't want to put something out of a packet into my food..if I can just make it easily from scratch. Thnks folks for our suggestions, I think I might give it a miss..(y)

Your son may love experiencing your mothers things. Leave them or ask him to take them now and go through them then do as he sees best with them. Maybe look with him.
How tragic your mother was killed! I'm sorry.
Be calm Pepper. Take it as it comes. Good news you didn't fall.
Enjoy the Young and the Restless but be The Aged and the Rested.

Speaking of Bisquick, I saw a recipe for scones made with it. If I have enough, I'm going to try it.

:ROFLMAO:
Supposed to be a nice day here, sunny in the low 80s. I can deal with that☀️🌞. There's not much to do in the garden, but the lawn needs to be mowed as soon as the dew is gone.

DD has been chained to her computer since Monday afternoon trying to meet a deadline. I hope she's done soon because I'm getting cabin fever. Besides, I have a few $$ to spare, and it's burning a hole in my pocket

Rining again today...toadstools are now growing on the lawn due to so much rain...

Might assemble the Ottoman chests today. I do get annoyed that everything seems to be flat packed these days unless you pay an arm and a lung for them. It's hard for me to put things together now because of the oA in my fingers.. and the techi dumb part of my brain.. :ROFLMAO:

Fortunately despite being very heavy, I don't think there's very many screws to put these todather..

Someone had the audacity to start an ambiguous thread about me. I am the one who should be apologized to. Me. Made a center of attention for reasons known to its author. So, we had better agree to disagree.

Your loyalty to your friend is lauded, you've done your job. I will say no more on this subject.

Don't start on me today Pepper... you were rude to @Paco Dennis , you were rude to @Georgiagranny .. for no reasons.. and your imagination is running away with you if you think anyone started a thread about you.... you really need to calm down...this is ridiculous, get some help, you can't take your personal problems out on other people..

I have a little portable HD radio that I take outside when I sit on the teeny, tiny patio. Can anybody tell me why the batteries only seem to die when there's something really pretty playing? In this morning's case it's Haydn's Symphony No. 12, Il Giardino Armonico, and it cuts off because "turning off battery low." >le sigh<

Yesterday afternoon my neighbor ,Cathie, asked if I would take her dog, Rudy for about an hr into my apt. The reason, her cleaning lady is afraid of dogs,so I said 'sure'. Rudy is a sweet, well behaved rescue dog,he's 12 yrs old, Cathie got him when he was a yr old he's part hound/Belgian mountain dog
Rudy had never been in my apt, so he went sniffing around, when I was in my bedroom doing paper work at my desk,he laid down next to my chair, the highlight of my day
On my early walk this morning at 6:50, it was cloudy temp was 55 as I went around building twice
This morning, Marcia is picking me up around 8:50 again I'll be dog sitting my 'buddy boy ' Tage again for a couple of hrs. She's taking our late church friend's son to his dentist appt
The rest of my day read NYT,my book having dinner tonight in the dining room with Cathie
