How is your day Today, plans and achievements 2024....

It's been a miserable weather day today and, unusually for me, I was very tempted to just sleep the day away! I expect to have a busy week this week so, I am hoping to have more energy tomorrow. I guess the occasional lazy Sunday is fine but, I am not normally this tired. Hopefully it was just the grey sky that got me down:(

Not going out today or doing very much, I decided to pack away summer things and get the winter woollies out so, at least it wasn't a totally wasted day. :)

Why were you blocked? Was this due to some time limit Amazon has, some policy?

This may be irrelevant to your described experience, but personally I hate to attempt communication with service reps at Amazon. Maybe five years ago, a customer still had access to something besides a multiple choice problem/complaint menu... were you still communicating digitally (maybe on a phone, too) with a human? Now that seems to be but a memory.

Took a walk up & down Suicide Hill. Began reading the newest Book Club selection The Secret Life of Bees in the park, maybe doing this activity for the last 😭 time this year. Loving the book. Glad I never saw movie, so it's all a surprise, and a good one at that.

I think I couldn't use the Cancel feature because the order was being filled and it was rather late. I have twice spoken to a CS rep there with the past 3 years. But I could hardly understand them. In the end, Amazon's service is pretty good comparatively, so far.

Suicide Hill! I just Googled it and it seems to be a sled park which got it's name because of the steep drops? Manhattan Riverside Park near the Soldiers and Sailors monument? Sounds like an interesting place. :)
 
An interesting thing happened earlier. I had powered down my computer for a while, was doing things around the house. Anyway, went to power it back on not long ago. It appeared to power on, as mouse lit up. But no go on monitor. Thought...shoot, do I have to replace this? I cannot afford it right now, So, just let it sit a while, and ignored it. Tried to power it off and nothing happened. Then I looked at the mouse and noticed it was not lit. So, tried to get in here, and it is on.
 
I forgot to eat this morning. Then I helped myself to hot fudge pudding cake with vanilla bean ice cream. A little while later I started feeling...um...unwell:sick:.

Note to self: If you're gonna eat something like pudding cake with ice cream, make sure you eat some real food, too.

Cheerios and blueberries. It was what was for supper. I feel better now.

There......they have screwed up my cc use now, tried to order
some food and card was declined, even tho I have boocoo credit available....all because someone messed with my cc account apparently.....I am going to call tomorrow, I am too

So sorry Hawkie,,,,, it'll get straightened out. They need to take the freeze off your card or send you a new one. What a pain in the butt, Try to relax, Bud. :coffee:
 
After a slow start to our morning,, decided to try a new restaurant over in Cooks Forest.
Nice sunny day to enjoy the different colored leaves.

Found the restaurant,, didn't look like much.
Menu was pizza & different sandwiches.

Hubby got a hot roast beef sandwich,, which he said was good.
I ordered an Italian sub, which came open faced???
Removed the lettuce so I could get a decent bite of it.
it was good.

Spend most of rest of day driving around.

Since the bank caught someone trying to use your card the other day, they have to cancel that card. They’ll approve another. You can probably pick it up right in the local branch. Good luck.
 
Made soup in the morning. It was rather bland. Healthy but bland. Walked in the afternoon. Tried to make an appointment for Drivers License. It can only be done online and I was fit to be tied at the end. No appointment made and now I have to try phoning someone tomorrow. DH was sure I must be doing something wrong so he sat and watched. It wasn’t me. I can’t believe how unclear these instructions were in a province with a significant ethnic base whose first language isn’t English.
 
We seem to have survived the storms last night although it's still windy today. Things couldn't have been too bad as it didn't make the news headlines. No serious disruption to travel, although when I looked at Flightradar, I could see an aircraft apparently circling round the airport.
On looking into this, it would appear to be part of pilot training as the regional airline Loganair is recruiting more pilots.

Trish, are you feeling better today ? perhaps there's a London Lurgy going around...altho' I haven't really been anywhere in the last few days so I don't know where I might have picked this up..:unsure:
I've got a zoom appointment with my lawyer in about 1/2 hour.. so I'm not going to eat anything until afterwards.just in case ....
Hope you feel better today...
 
@hollydolly By now your lawyer's meeting must be over. Tell us when it's safe to uncross our fingers.

It's getting harder and harder to get my Self moving in the mornings. I'm gonna say it's because it's chilly in here for the first 30 minutes or so.

Another sunny day here. There's no rain in sight for at least the next 10 days. The lawn is already getting crunchy.

Oh you must be joking Gigi...these things take a long time. I was in the meeting for an hour. ..and it easily could have gone on much longer if she hadn't have had a meeting directly after mine.

The thing is it's all to do with documentation.. his lawyer sends stuff to mine and then mine has to go through it pretty much word for word.. with me..

Today she found some glaring anomalies.. so she has to contact his lawyers again, and get them to amend all that ( in my favour) before it goes in front of a judge otherwise, she said, he will throw it out...

She's very busy so she can only promise to get that sent to them sometime this week...

Then once it's all corrected it can go in front of a Judge.. but currently, she explained that can take anything up to 20 weeks... ..so nothing is happening fast... this has been almost 18 months now now back and forth,..

nite, all that credcard business on my mind ya know....grrrr...will
be on phone a bunch today try to get things back to normal...cannot believe how this is happening, but computer and people sometime both make errors....I just have damn little

On my early morning walk at 6:30,temp was 63 as I went around building once. The moon was still out saw a few stars, a tad breezy
This morning, I'll be walking to my church, to continue with Generosity Campaign envelopes. I'll be putting stamps on envelopes mailed to members who didn't come to church yesterday. There are a few who live out of town/or go 'South' for 6 months. It will be a nice walk since its going to be a sunny day,temps near 70
The rest of my day,read NYT, my book, see who I'll be eating dinner with in the dining room ,made my reservation for 5:30
