Well it's now racing towards 5.15pm and I've just got home about 30 minutes ago after leavin' home at 9.30am... It's been a glorious sunny day..☀️☀️☀️...but such an Icy wind... i would have been the perfect winters' day if it hadn't been for that strong freezing wind,.

The good news is, that I managed to get my Hair cut..
and get my nails done and get my tyres inflated.. so tomorrow I'll check the oil & water in the car and then it'll be ready for the 5 hour round trip..on saturday

I got to the hair salon 10 minutes beore they opened and waited and they were immediately able to cut my hair.. I was totally stunned to see how thin my hair has become on the back of my scalp

I popped into TKmaxx..( yes it's TK here not TJ) bought a marble plant stand, and a plant pot, and walked past the salon when I was leaving and saw it was packed out, so I did right thing going to the salon as soon as they opened......

I had to drive to the next town to get the supermarket to get the Christmas day meat.. I got unsmoked Gammon, that way I can make soup out of it for several days after.. ..as @Capt Lightning already said Tesco were selling their veggies for 15p .. couldn't believe it..I got a 5 pound bag of spuds for just 15p... sadly the fruit wasn't reduced in price and I bought more fruit than veggies

At the petrol forecourt I filled up the tank with fuel , and got the tyres inflated there.. there was a queue of 5 cars in front waiting for the air pump, so I had to sit a little while..

Then to the next town to get a nail salon.. again I had to wait a little while for someone to be free.. but I got the pearlescent on gel nails seeing as it's Christmas ..I was in there for an hour and a half..

Hair and nails look great and that green sweater! Love it!

I'm feeling a lot better after having vertigo all night long. I took the day off because I could not work like this. I'm so glad I made that decision. When you need to rest, rest. I agree with all of you who say pain is worse as you get older. It feels that way to me too. Maybe I was more distracted when I was younger.
Vertigo is horrible! Yes, getting old is not always fun. Hope you feel better soon chic.

I have a funny story. When we went to Myrtle Beach my daughter brought the kid's "Elves on a Shelf" dolls.
You know, they wind up in a different spot every morning.
After they left and two hours into the trip back my daughter sends a frantic text. She forgot the elves. After much thought she asked us to take some pictures around the place. It turned into DH and I going around the grounds taking pictures of the elves lounging by the pool, sitting by the fire pit, next to the fountain, like these:
1000006279.jpg1000006289.jpgThe naughty elves stayed on vacation and sent "postcards" to the children while (a neighbors) old elf came as a visiting elf to fill in until theirs came back. During that time my daughter picked up the elves from us.
Santa and Mrs Claus were riding through their neighborhood on their yearly visit. My daughter met them before they started and told them the story. Santa and Mrs Claus, to utter surprise, delivered the naughty elves back to the children. They were delighted to do this and any doubt the children had was gone.
Yes, I call it the Christmas web of lies and hope the lesson when they are older is that one lie leads to another and another but in a case like this it's all in fun. It was a lot of fun!

That is really cute and funny.
You should write a Children's book: Retirement money R-US.

Love that colour on your nails, it goes very well with the knitted top.

Some medications can cause hair thinning as can stress and/or over washing. It looks minimal though and you have nice hair so, I doubt it is noticeable to anyone else.

thanks Trish, very kind.🥰.. sadly the nails don't look anywhere as nice in the picture as they do in real life... the jumper is a cardigan, a midi cardigan.. no buttons.. I went out today wearing that instead of a coat and with a contrasting long green scarf just a little darker shade.. the nail technician complimented me on the cardi as well.. 🙂 as for my hair, I certainly don't overwash it, and I'm not really taking any regular meds except for one pill every morning that I've taken for years .. so i think the problem must lie with all the stress I;m going through this last 18 months with the divorce proceedings .. if that's the case, then I hope once it's finalised then my hair will recover..

Picked up a prescription.

Got the mail, and the insurance says they were billed for and paid for an item the local pharmacy can't supply. Read an email from the mail pharmacy that it got changed to, they want the prescriber to call them. Called the doc, gave them the details.

Called the local pharmacy and explained it, they said well... they "were still trying to get" the item. Grr, they already said they couldn't supply it. But they sent the money back to the insurance company.

Hopefully that will break the logjam before I need the danged item (glucose test strips). If I have to call anyone back one more time to specify the meter I have... I am going to buy and eat some ice cream.

I love the colour.

Stress sounds likely and, hopefully, when everything is done and dusted, it will grow again.

When I woke up this morning, the sky looked grey but, shortly after, it brightened up. I still wrapped up but, I really didn't need the scarf or the gloves!

I think mine was caused by meds. They tried so many different things to make it better. I had botox all over my head for many years as well to try and control the pain. I think it is stress since it looks like one place. Mine is all over.

Walmarting done until week after next. There's still $10 left on my healthy food card, and it doesn't carry over so I have to use it before midnight New Year's Eve. Fine. Just so I don't have to go there again until after Christmas.

I had really hoped that DGD would be worn out from her doc visit, but no such luck, and she came along. Thank heaven, we only spent about an extra 30 minutes.

Tomorrow morning we're going by their favorite McDonald's to gift their favorite "window lady"* with a Walmart card for Christmas. She's really nice, has never once messed up an order and always has a kind word to say. She's one of the lucky few who get to work 40 hours but has an extended family to support. It ain't cheap supporting the whole fam damily, especially in this HCOL area. For context, she takes home earns less in a month before taxes than I get in social security...

Anyway, they take care of her, and I take care of tipping our trash dudes. I just tape their Christmas card with cash inside to the top of the bin for when they pick up on Monday.

Also tomorrow morning, DD still has a few things to pick up from Publix. Has to be done in the morning because tomorrow is only a half day at school. All the little boyses and girlses will be in the stores with their mommies after that.

Anyway, except for those few things, done and done!

*window lady = the person who takes the orders at the drive-thru and collects the $$ before waving customers on to the pick-up window

I refilled two pill cases and renewed my license online for the first time. It was a fairly easy process. I intended to do laundry this afternoon but fell asleep and when I woke up, it was 3:00, I had to eat and take a couple of pills. After finishing, it would have been too late for me to get ready to go down, since it starts getting dark at about 4:00. Not only that, I feel it's more likely that others would be down there at that time..

Thanx for the reminder @OneEyedDiva. I need to refill mine. I'd be ticked in the morning to have to be sorting through the pill bottles.
You're welcome GG. I know the feeling. I usually wait for my son to be able to sit with me but today I didn't feel like waiting. I keep a vacation/emergency pill case in my purse that I dip into (sometimes a couple of days worth) until I can refill the others, but I don't like doing that.

That was hilarious. What a fun bunch you all are. I also like the "No Climbing On Rocks" pic... :ROFLMAO:

After my last post that I hadn't done my planned list, I realized I was being a lazy butt.

I cut up the wood pallet, and was thinking "I love using power tools like my circular saw" as I was doing it;
Threw it all in my recycle dumpster;
Shoveled ALL the rest of the landscape rock and moved it scoop by scoop (instead of by 5 gallon bucketfuls) to add to the exercise element;
Swept the whole patio, and hosed it down!
Oh, and did two loads of laundry today!

Ta da! Still no biscuits today for DH: yet!

WallyWorld was a zoo. I got eggs and wine and hauled. Made a pit stop at a small call it boutique. My lady was not there but I left ten minutes later with bibs some soft denim with some stretch. They fjt!!! I did not see that they have flared legs but the dust bunnies do not mind. SO said they look good. Everything else is ... .
The older lady at Lowe's is an active skeet shooter.
The mattress took five minutes. Guys were baffled about a tip. ??? I will call the store tomorrow with a " happy customer " comment. Some companies give rewards.

Slept about 4 hours last night, got in a 2 hour nap this afternoon. Pain is a little better but swelling is a little worse. I don't want to ever have to do this again. I had one upper tooth pulled a couple of years ago, the lowers are so much worse. Ordered 3 more tubes of ora-jel from Amazon that has arrived.

I know I am not going to feel like going out, so I placed and order for delivery from Walmart. That will come tomorrow and get me and the dogs through Christmas week. I am going to ask the son to pick me up a lb, of honey ham, He goes by there on his way home from work. He has to come here anyway to pick up presents he shipped here for his Mrs. She is a little snoop and he is determined to keep her guessing this year LOL.

Hope you are all well!!
