How Many 45 RPMs and Albums Do You Think You Bought In Your Yonger Days?

I had probably had 150 45's but not too many albums until I turned 18-20 then about 40 albums. I was born in 48 so I got in to music when Elvis hit the market. I bought many different 45s because I liked all different types of rock nd roll music. A lot of soul music, Otis Redding, Four Tops, Temptations, etc. We bought them at a Woolworths and I think that was the only place they were sold.

Not sure, but I have a bunch I haven't looked at in years. Do not even have a turntable...

I have no idea, but not as many as you fmdog. One of my first 45s was Apples, Peaches, Pumpkin Pie (Jay & The Techniques), some early albums were Rolling Stones, Vanilla Fudge, Doors, Janis Joplin, Dylan, etc.

No idea, but because you couldn't get a record player anymore (I thought, until the internet) I either gave way or threw away a bunch of 45's. I could kick myself now. I have a record player now and a bunch of record albums from decades ago that I kept.

I just wish I had them all now......and the case they were in..so much for passing them on. Even had some yellow ones.

IDK. But I had one of those 45 RPM carrying cases, (remember those?) and it was stuffed with 45s.

Zero 45's and 3.5 albums. I bought my first album in collaboration with my brother. Then I found out he didn't want me playing my albums on his stereo...

Many 45's. There was a store in town that sold used ones from jukeboxes very cheap (seems like they were about 10 cents each?). You sorted through a whole shelf of them. That was fun too, like looking for treasures. Of course the more popular the song, the more the record was worn, but it didn't matter. Maybe a dozen albums.

How about a 45 record player in your car? My coworker and friend had one and the only one I ever saw attached to the passenger side below the dashboard.

I had the 45's in a carry case like Chic did but can't remember what they were.
The albums I remember having are The Association,Monkees, James Taylor,Mamas&Papas{they are in the bathtub together},Chicago Sue

I used to keep good track of my 45's. I believe I had 300 or more. I don't know how many albums but probably 100 or more. Last year, I decided to make room, I'd give my son (a deejay) all my 45s. I found all but one on YouTube and now have playlists of my 45s in my YouTube account. It's great to be able to play them on auto play without having to put them one at a time on the turntable with that little piece in the middle. :)

I didn't have too many, money was tight, but I used to buy most of them just as soon as they came out of the charts and they would only cost about a third of the price of a new 45 .., so I managed to get way more than enough to fill a Singles leatherette Carry case, which I still have to this day in the loft ( a red one) with all my 45's still in it although all played until they're smooth so their worthless to anyone but me.

I had a fair mixture of LP's. but stupidly when CD's came into fashion I threw them all out...why I kept the 45's and not the LP's I'll never know but I could kick myself now..

Been collecting records (78s, 45s and albums) since late 50s, must have getting on 8000 albums, lost count of 45s. Started to convert the collection onto several hard drives, but I need to live to 379 years to complete the task.....ha ha ha

I still have them all. I could go count them, as they're only about thirty feet away, but they number in the hundreds. I had bands from eleven, on. I have a band, now, at sixty-five. The internet has made acquiring tunes so much easier.

I probably had about 50 45's. All 50's Rock and Roll. When I switched to country western music I had about 80 to 100 LPs. When we got married the hubby added to the collection. His and new ones we bought together. Just a few years back my son recorded all my albums on cd's. I gave my brother in law all my records because he collects them. At least they stayed in the family.

Probably in the hundreds. I still have my turntable and have kept around 50 of my favorite vinyl LP's. I occasionally play them.

Tons of 45s. 1960-68. 100 albums. I don't know, but I gradually got away from music. I couldn't believe some people didn't know the names of the Beatles. Good Grief! How out of it could you be!!! I have absolutely no idea who is the current top musical star.

Fred, Ted, Homer, & Hank ...as I recall...:)

I wouldn't walk across the street to listen to them...But !...I agree about who is number one today....I have no idea , nor do I care.

LOL, I had one in my old 55. played fine in the parking lot, but no so much on pot hole streets. :D
Actually it wasn't all that unusual. Heck Chrysler offered it as an option.
