...since I was here so I feel like a newbie all over again. In fact, I just feel new all over given that I have lost over 100 stinking pounds!!! Yay, me!
I'm glad that they are taking care of the side effects with medication. I know what you mean about multivitamins. I have the big giant ones and sometimes almost choke on them. Thanks Ruth. I had some nausea and actual vomiting but nothing that medication couldn't handle. I also developed a stricture between the pouch (the now 20% of what was once my stomach) and the intestines but that is very common and, again, medication is taking care of that. Plus the strictures tend to work themselves out after six months. I just have to chew my food a little more than what I was previously instructed to do by the nutritionist, surgeon and nurse. Some folks experience hair loss but I haven't had that issue at all. I will have to be on vitamins the rest of my life because my digestive system has pretty much been altered, but that only makes sense that I would. I just hate having to take the multivitamin. I tried several out and the only one that works for me is the chewable as the gummy types aren't allowed. Even the chewable is daunting but I manage to take it every day no matter what. It would be really nice if they would perfect a multivitamin that wasn't so huge and tasted tons better. I live for the day...
