jujube - no thank you, and I sincerely mean that.

Blunderwoman - tell it to take a hike real quick like and in a hurry!

shalimar - yes, the avatar is a new one since the weight loss. I tried to upload others showing full body but I kept getting error messages! Will try resizing them later and see if they won't upload.

vicky - thank you so much! I appreciate it.

Linda - I went the radical route and had WLS (gastric sleeve) back in September and as of late January I had lost a total of 102 pounds. I cannot eat certain foods anymore but I truly don't miss them as my taste buds have changed drastically! I can only eat about 2-3 tablespoons of food at present and then I am really full. Never thought that would be possible but it is the truth. My latest best friends have become Zumba, Tai Chi and walking plus I go to an exercise program through my hospital which is free and that is always a good thing if it's free - gotta love that!

Welcome back PurpleHaze and congratulations on your weight loss, I know that must feel so good! I've done Zumba before and really enjoyed it, especially since I liked the instructor so much, she was the best! I took a TaiChi class many moons ago, and that was also very satisfying. Walking is something I still do everyday, outdoors in the park. Enjoy your new healthy self! :sunglass:

Congratulations on your weight loss ,I'm speaking from experience I know it's not easy to loose ..in fact it's not fair ..how come we can put it on really easy then have to try really hard to loose it :)

Welcome back! Maybe I should get this gastric sleeve you speak of. I am very much overweight right now. Congrats on losing all that weight. Have you had any side effects from the gastric sleeve besides not eating much?

Thanks Ruth. I had some nausea and actual vomiting but nothing that medication couldn't handle. I also developed a stricture between the pouch (the now 20% of what was once my stomach) and the intestines but that is very common and, again, medication is taking care of that. Plus the strictures tend to work themselves out after six months. I just have to chew my food a little more than what I was previously instructed to do by the nutritionist, surgeon and nurse. Some folks experience hair loss but I haven't had that issue at all. I will have to be on vitamins the rest of my life because my digestive system has pretty much been altered, but that only makes sense that I would. I just hate having to take the multivitamin. I tried several out and the only one that works for me is the chewable as the gummy types aren't allowed. Even the chewable is daunting but I manage to take it every day no matter what. It would be really nice if they would perfect a multivitamin that wasn't so huge and tasted tons better. I live for the day...

I'm glad that they are taking care of the side effects with medication. I know what you mean about multivitamins. I have the big giant ones and sometimes almost choke on them.
