As for those pesky East Asians, many of whom were brought here as day laborers, Asian household income in Redmond Washington, a suburb of Microsoft, exceeds that of their Caucasian neighbors. Apple‘s chief competitor is Samsung, a South Korean enterprise, and Taiwan Semiconductor is, you guessed it, the most sophisticated chip manufacturer in the world. Would you be interested in research on Asian and Caucasian skull volume? Probably not.

You are correct regarding my lack of interest. In my opinion, intelligence markers linked to skull volume are as specious as those linked to phrenology.

Yep, women have, on average, smaller skulls than men and thus have smaller brains, but their brains have more wrinkles, so the surface area is comparable. Or something like that. It's something I read long ago so I forget the details.

Attitudes about race topics today are vastly different than when I was born after WWII. If intelligent informed people wish to talk about race and racism, they ought first at least read about where we humans are coming from instead of dominant current media thinking like current society and cultural behaviors are anything but recent realities. I don't doubt that. It's natural selection at work. In Kenya, speed and endurance helped man survive and reproduce and probably more able to protect their mates and children. The slower, weaker men were more likely to get caught by wild animals and eaten.

As horses and dogs can be bread to be faster and able to run further, the same thing can happen through natural selection with any species including humans.

As far as natural selection and intelligence, while it's possible that IQ plays a role, physical prowess is probably more important.

I disagree about IQ being less important than physical prowess when it comes to natural selection.
Look at it this way. Once, millions of years ago, a proto-human invented a way to create fire. That one single invention may well have been the most important invention in the survival of humans. Yep, if my group was struggling for survival, I'll take higher IQ over physical prowess every time.

One thought about intelligence. Chimps and humans share 99% of common DNA. That 1% DNA difference is responsible for the tremendous physical and IQ difference. When comparing one human group with other human groups, it is extremely likely that even a .01-.05 % difference in IQ can have a profound impact.

Unfortunately, I agree with officerripley. We do tend to view others as "subhuman". And the reason for our disdain of others has no bounds. -it's whatever. I think civility and civilization are a thin veneer over our baser emotions. Our history is one of wars of conquest, genocide, and enslavement, which doesn't speak too highly of our "love" for one another. It does say how eager we are to disregard the humanity in others.

Here's something you might find educational -- nothing to do with intelligence, but genetic differences? Ever noticed the dominance of African contestants in Olympic running events? Gosh, could genetics have anything to do with that? Nah, you say.

In addition to speed genes, I have noticed a dominance of African American's on the DEFENSIVE side of the NFL. Curious.
On the OFFENSIVE side of the ball, whites dominate.

I have long since forgotten where I read this , but there appears to be 2 different kinds of nerves in the body. "Fast twitch and Slow twitch". The article claimed that African American's have "fast twitch" while whites have "slow twitch". Perhaps that accounts for faster runners being Black and champion weight lifters being White.
