I actually happened on to Senior Forums several years ago and had saved the link. Today I finally decided to join.

I am 77 years old and live alone with dog, Piper, and cat, Hobbes. I love them dearly. I also spend a lot of time online or reading my book. A hobby of mine is feeding wild birds. I am a retired piano teacher. I taught professionally for 50 years and 10 years before that as a kid when I could talk friends into taking piano lessons.

Hello Susa from Ohio. I think we have a lot in common. I don't live alone now but I also feed the wild birds in my backyard. I share my home and yard with an elderly cat, Katie, and have four rather geriatric french hens free ranging in the garden. I too was a teacher but not of music. In spite of many years of piano lessons I still cannot play and I sing with all the melody of a cockatoo.

This is a great forum for meeting new people and for making forum friends.
