I Feel Like Dancing!!

Have someone record it and share with us!

I am not on any post smartphone social media so cannot easily put video media on the web like that. But I have had a video account on Youtube for a few years. Thus far have only uploaded skiing videos while having fair numbers of other modest videos going back decades, because am rather a backpacking landscape photographer and haven't bothered coding that yet to work with the Youtube stuff.

Am old Adobe Photoshop CS6 and Adobe Premiere Elements 2021 user, so as a Happy New Years 2024 took some A6700 photos outdoors today before the sunlight hit the side of my residence wall. So yes although I could upload a dance video, you'll have to wait and instead just get one of the self portraits I fired off about noon today with that rf remote in my hand. Downsized for web to a 2k height version from the 6k height original.

But the second image is a 100% pixels crop from the same image just eye level that shows how sharp my Sigma 56mm F1.4 at F8.0 is on the 24mp sensor. Notice the fine hair against that old painted wall. Because of sunshine glare off the adjacent building behind my tripod's position was bright, my left eye is squinting a bit. That does help illuminate where I stood but I could still take a good evenly illuminated image even before sun hit the other wall just from skylight without squinting so may try that tomorrow. I've never dyed my fine chestnut hued hair so one can see not much yet gray I've yet change to.

If a member mouse right clicks the below image, then mouse selects Copy Image Link, and then copies that URL into a new browser tab, that will take one to the Postimages website, where the image quality is a bit better than the browser and Senior forums site provides.

EASY Club Moves Every Gal Should Know
(Ignore her little Michael Jackson touch I don't like.
You'll know it when you see it.)

There are a few dance videos that have been posted multiple times in this now too long thread, including the above "Evolution of Dance" and the Leo Sayer "You make me..." video. None of those styles is like my own style.

An issue with many popular club dance styles is they tend to be upper body oriented, dancing in place given space limitations, without feet movement. In the above video, at 1:41 to 1:46 he begins 5 seconds of some Michael Jackson side to side rhythmic moves. Also at 0:32 to 0:38 is an upper body swaying left to right rhythmic dance style. These two movements can be easily combined into a single balanced bilateral movement one can with some additional forward movement develop the ability to move one's feet most any direction gracefully.

Advice for any currently non-dancers. If a person repeats the combined above noted simple basic dance motions regularly over weeks of occasional exercise, one will gradually gain a whole body balanced natural feeling, that is critical for being able to develop whole body advanced dance styles. The more one repeats such motion, the more via neural plasticity it will become second nature and smooth.

Duplicate posts happen and is okay because no one expects everyone to read through an entire thread just to see if there's a duplicate. No one cares and they just give them both "Likes" and move on. And 765 replies for this thread is not much comparatively speaking. My recent Christmas thread had 2K replies and 22K views.

You also mentioned that "none of the dance styles match" your own. That just makes your posts more interesting! But if it bothers you why not put a name to your style and start your own dance thread using that name of the dance? You might enjoy that more. Yes! Have fun!
