I guess Rakaia left

@MACKTEXAS Yes. Go on Rakaia's last thread "What's pleased you today ...." and click on his name. I just checked:

In the solid blue bar at the top, it says Members - here's a screenshot:

When I click there (where is says Members in my red circle) and then scrolled down to "Find Member" and enter the name, he won't come up. Other members do. The site appears to not be working consistently.

Anyway, I found him using your method. Thanks.

I didn't go via Members because I wasn't sure of the spelling but, the Members search works for me as well. He is likely just taking some time out from the forum atm.

I was a member of a forum on a special men's health problem for 15 years. I left this forum last year since I got my problem fixed and didn't need the help from other members anymore and I stopped giving advice to other men.

But I didn't leave without a word. Instead I opened a thread "Time to say goodbye", mentioned my reasons to leave the forum and was wishing other men success to do what was necessary for them.

I've made many friends on SF over the past 8-1/2. I'd worry if they disappeared without a word and am pretty sure they'd feel the same about me.

If I decided it was time for me to go, I'd do so without a flounce-out. Perhaps a post explaining I was dealing with vision or health challenges, or felt the forum was no longer a good place for me to be. I'd express appreciation for the many fine folks I'd met and spent time with here. That kind of thing.

Should something happen to me suddenly, whether banned (perish the thought), death or extreme medical condition (ditto to perishing the thought), some close forum friends have my email address and/or cell number.

If I couldn't do so, eventually my family would stumble over a personal text or email and would surely reply to explain my absence.
I think Rakala is still around. He will be back. ;)

I searched a few other Senior Forums before I joined here. There was none I found that I thought was as friendly as it seems to be here.
🤗

Maybe I do not elaborate enough in my posts. I am more of a "Live and Let Live" person.
I would let others know if I was leaving because I could just not post anymore for personal or health reasons.
I have been typing for over 30 some years and sometimes I just do not feel like typing a long post.
(osteoporosis, arthritis)

I am grateful to have all of you to share my life with and I enjoy reading your posts.
