Really? He's not coming up when I searched members 2 minutes ago. Are you sure?Rakaia's profile is still here and it shows that he was last online earlier today.
In the solid blue bar at the top, it says Members - here's a screenshot:@MACKTEXAS Yes. Go on Rakaia's last thread "What's pleased you today ...." and click on his name. I just checked:

When I click there (where is says Members in my red circle) and then scrolled down to "Find Member" and enter the name, he won't come up. Other members do. The site appears to not be working consistently.
Anyway, I found him using your method. Thanks.
I think Rakala is still around. He will be back.I've made many friends on SF over the past 8-1/2. I'd worry if they disappeared without a word and am pretty sure they'd feel the same about me.
If I decided it was time for me to go, I'd do so without a flounce-out. Perhaps a post explaining I was dealing with vision or health challenges, or felt the forum was no longer a good place for me to be. I'd express appreciation for the many fine folks I'd met and spent time with here. That kind of thing.
Should something happen to me suddenly, whether banned (perish the thought), death or extreme medical condition (ditto to perishing the thought), some close forum friends have my email address and/or cell number.
If I couldn't do so, eventually my family would stumble over a personal text or email and would surely reply to explain my absence.
