I wonder how different people really are from each other?

Yes I believe we are ALL connected to the ‘I AM that I AM.’ We just see ourselves as separate due to the fact that we have a body which is what most religions teach.
Yes, the Eastern religions in particular teach that we are not humans having a spiritual experience but that we are spirits having a human experience. We perceive ourselves as being separate from each other but in reality we are all one spirit within the Great Spirit, which is also within each of us.
The purpose of our life is to discover this mystery, this secret, this Truth, and thereby proceed along our spiritual journey to find the divine consciousness that is the very essence of who and what we all are. Any percieved difference is superficial and illusory, born out of confusion and misunderstanding.

Reading that made my heart sing. 🎶 💕
….and my eyes water.

Materialism posits that everything is made of the same matter. We are made of the same matter that exited when matter appeared out of nothing. We are stardust, and we got to get back to the gardening now. :)

Perhaps clarification I wonder how compatible we are to the world, different cultures, backgrounds, environment. Could we all get along?

It seems like we haven't even been trying to get along for centuries. Let's pretend that we have been trying all along. I guess the appropriate question to ask ourselves is "How has that been working out for us?"
