If animals could talk, what do you think they'd say?

Suppose that animals could talk, including your pets, what do you think they would say?

(BTW, it's not meant to be accusatory.)

Depends which animals and where they are. Animals contained in zoos and various types of animal parks for human entertainment, and those raised in miserable conditions before being slaughtered for food, would undoubtedly have different things on their minds than beloved, pampered pets or those running free while being protected on preserves.

My dog's first question would probably ask why we won't let him sleep all day and play all night.

Someone devised buttons that would trigger words, that dogs could be trained to use to ask to go out, for meals, treats or 'pets'. But i've actually watched more videos of them in use with a cat.

Thing is they kept adding buttons, the vocabulary grows. I'm posting one of the shorter videos, just to give y'all an idea about it, but the channel, BilliSpeaks, has dozens and they are interesting to watch.

Our parrot can talk. if she sees something she wants to eat, she asks for it. If it’s getting late and she wants to go to bed, she tells us. A lot of animals are probably more intelligent than we give them credit for.
My Mom cared for exotic birds (several parrot breeds, cocatieils, cocatoos, macaws) the last 20 years of her life. When my then 4 yr old sons and i visited her in 1979 they fascinated with the birds.
One of boys did not flatten his fingers enough when offering a parrot food and the bird mistook the tip of pinky finger for a nut. My son cried out the moment the beak touched him and the bird quickly withdrew saying 'Sorry, sorry!!!'

The skin on the finger was not broken and it did not bruise, which tells me the parrot realized tender flesh was in proximity to the food and was being careful because they are capable of applying hundreds of pounds of pressure PSI if they wish.

I not only agree many animals are more intelligent than most humans think, i feel they are capable of more emotions than we think.

I agree. Human arrogance: If we can't interpret their language then they must not be capable of communicating. pfffttt...

It's been demonstrated many times that much of the planet's flora and fauna can and do communicate with each other, some form strong communities, and many are highly intelligent. Just as has happens with human slaves, people cast these as "others," claiming them as property, so they can continue to use, abuse, neglect, and destroy the habitat of other beings on the planet with a clear conscience.

Today while on my walk I heard a goose crying in the bay, her/his partner was on the shore answering. It was a pitying cry and I imagine they were calling out for their goslings who were nowhere to be seen, probably taken by the eagles. It was a soul destroying moment.

I Used To Look At My Dog And Think If You Were A Little Smarter You Could Tell Me What You Were Thinking, And He’d Look At Me Like He Was Saying ”If You Were A Little Smarter, I Wouldn’t Have To”

When my wife comes back home from being out doing something our (her) dog will come up to me running in circles all excited saying mommy's home-mommy's home then the dog will lead me to the front door and let him out and he gives her hugs and kisses. In the evening our (her) dog will come to me saying I am hungry, and he will lead me to his feed dish. I ask my wife if she has fed him and if not, I feed him. Sometimes I feed him not knowing that my wife has already fed him, and I realize that when he gives me those, I love you puppy dog eyes, but the food is in the dish, and it is his.

Our first lab came to me in the night when he was feeling unwell. Put his paw up on the bed near my face. I instinctively knew something was wrong. Took him to the vet the next day. He had heart problems since he was a puppy, yet he survived 10 years. Unfortunately, it was his time to leave us. He was a good boy. We were "in simpatico". When I was under the weather, he always stuck close by me. I will miss him forever.
