If we ever do colonize another planet

Heck I'm gonna have to live with increasing click bate forever !
There is nothing but Total Hell out there and beyond.

We must remember the Prime Directive:
The Prime Directive prohibits Starfleet personnel and spacecraft from interfering in the normal development of any society, and mandates that any Starfleet vessel or crew member is expendable to prevent violation of this rule.
do not interfere in the natural development of a planet that is less developed. The "cobra effect"
A million will line up to go nowhere Starbase 2 and meanwhile
2/3rds of the Earth will shoot Starfleet down, terrorize the families
and bomb the Starbase's

Beyond the OP's hypothetical, some members are not addressing that question but rather how or why it might be done. So I'll note from a science perspective doing such even in our own Solar System would be centuries away if ever. We'll soon be studying that via Moon bases where our general public will soon sober up on what they understand as possibles.

Due to influences over popular space science fiction films and tv, ordinary people tend to have little understanding how much human biology is impossibly dependent on Earth phenomenon like gravity our Earth creature body's evolved in myriad ways with.

Our gastrointestinal guts alone contain billions of symbiotic bacteria and within our human extracellular fluids trillions of viruses, science has hardly begun to understand. In that way we are walking zoos capable of contaminating any potential planet with other DNA organic life.

Also "warp drive" in fiction is highly likely to ever be possible even in millions of years. Any travel between star systems is likely to be done with non-organic robotics. In like manner, any visitors are not likely to be little green men or grey big heads.

We are unlikely to ever colonize another planet as Marvin the Martian intends to blow Earth up, obstructing as it does his view of Venus. Our only hope is Bugs Bunny, or perhaps Daffy Duck.- -Oh, the epic confrontations that will play out! 🛸

"They" were also certain we would never fly, or cruise the bottom of the ocean....

Cute .... loved it, and it brought back fond memories of watching BB and friends.

But Jet flight is one of the worst Polluters along with Cities dumping trash in the mid ocean. You see both would have been better never done. Most of us never cruise constantly or take an intercontinental jet Flights. All have made war on ourselves and the Earth easier. Nothing safer here with this. If guys hadn't figured out boats they would never have found all the area of the world to screw up, have wars on and cause general mayhem over the centuries. .... Most likely Toxins are our greatest man has ever done. But in defense other plants and animals figured
them out too!

It all has caused another challenge in our path to stardom. It's "Oh My God What Have I Done," syndrome. For every advancement there is an equal and opposite Calamity waiting. Antibiotics and Chickens and the food we eat are one also. Small Pox was a great fix but they kept it in Labs. You see we screw stuff up. Its our main intelligence.

For every invention, advancement, slowly down the line of time it becomes, "Oh My God What Have I Done" & for every great intention there is a more than opposite bad intention.

In the beginning we realized "we had the right of bad intentions" .....🦷..... 🤣 .....
Are you a Good Lollypop?

It most likely is starting with the Moon Soon. So Far there are about 7 groups in competition.
It may likely center around A big Crater full of Ice. Think it sucked in a lot of Comets with ice?

A new discovery has revealed that there is enough water on Mars to cover the entire surface of the planet with several feet of water. It's located near the equator, and is about 2 miles thick, consisting of ice. However, it's buried deep, so it would take some doing to tap it, but never underestimate technology to figure out a way. It may take some time, but it's gonna take time to colonize it anyway, so it could possibly work.

What have we learned from our experience here that would shape a better life in the new world?
Maybe what we've learned (and will in the future learn) about genetics, brain science, and psychology would help. If we could learn how to identify and fix (or otherwise contain) psychopaths etc, that would be helpful for any society, whether here or on another planet.

But if we are colonizing someplace that isn't friendly to our species (like Mars or Venus), then I imagine the system will have to have a lot of surveillance because one person going nuts would endanger everyone.

From bigthink.com: "Psychopaths don’t move their heads when talking: A new study found that people who scored high in certain psychopathic traits are more likely to limit head movements." To read the rest of the article:

Oh great .... now I have a "tell". I'd better order a bobblehead off of Amazon, and start taking lessons. Thanks for the heads up.

Training for our first colonizers.

Understanding that Ai will attempt to keep what you need to know from you knowing what it is, is a no brainer.
Understanding that Ai isn't really how it is, what is going on is also a no braindead dumb ass appraisal! Haha
Hopefully you're aware of all the lies you have heard for everywhere for the last decades & they can help tell you where its all going!

It takes all kinds to make a world. That's why we will always have tribes and communities, religions and philosophies, cruelty and injustice, and differences of opinion --and that's if we're lucky.
