If you could be someone else

If you could be someone other than who you are, who would you be?

Carl Sagan. He's dead. :) Just a bit of dark humor there. I am conflicted. There are too many things that I'm interested in.
My first thought was Neil DeGrasse Tyson, but thinking about their actual life experiences, I guess maybe David Attenborough.
The truth is, I never had the energy to live those kinds of lives, but If I were them, I guess I would have.
Despite what I may look like to the outside world, though, I very much like who I am. Happy I've had the life I've had.

I love golf so will have to go with Arnold Palmer. All round good guy, world traveler, good family man and yes......plenty of money. I should say I would want to be a much younger Arnold Palmer as he is getting on up there in age. ;)

This is a tough one. Be careful what you wish for, cause you just might get it. Who can say what the sufferings of our heros endured that we don't know about? I think I'd stay my own miserable self.

I meant to quote Underock1's comment so assume that I did. My initial choice was Mariah Carey, but after reading your comment and thinking back to how much I enjoyed and respected Carl Sagan, I think I'll go with him assuming it's alright for us both to be Carl Sagan.

...but he's dead, Josiah, and you would never make it as Mariah Carey. Lol!

Sorry. Catelyn Tully, maybe? How about Daenerys Targaryen? Come on. Give me a break here. It took a lot of research to get those names right.

I do adore myself some Targaryen, but, no, I don't want to be anyone but me, I've had some great and bad experiences, but, they were mine and I've had some really great experiences as well, but over all, I wouldn't change places to be but anyone but me, now would I want some of what maybe Brad Pitts wife gets on a regular basis, sure, but, I still don't want to be her. I like the way my mind works, maybe not so much the body, but, I for the most part, really like my mind wouldn't switch it to be any other person.

I do appreciate the research you did to find those characters though, see what power I already wield to make men bend to such, ok, ok, I know I'm full of myself. Still I why would anyone want to change from being me. :D :playful:

No, I wouldn't choose to be anyone else, I kind of like me.

I'm kind of like you April. I like who I am and wouldn't choose the life of anyone else but with one small caveat which is that I wish that I was infinitely more outgoing in a public setting. It would have made life a lot more mentally comfortable.

April's response is perfect. If, however, I was forced to be someone else it would be my wife. There simply cannot be anything better in this world than to live with me!!!!!!!!!!:)

Thank you Debby, I like you too. I'm not really all that outgoing and can't say there aren't some qualities I wouldn't want to improve on or change about me, but, I for sure don't want to change to be anyone else, not even if that means I would get what a lot of people might think is a better personality. Ha, ha, ha, ha. But really. LOL!
