I've heard of such, wouldn't want to put my all my eggs in that basket, as they say.true..but then there's always the option of a washer dryer...( all in one)
My stackable has a topload machine. Whirlpool. One plus for the front loader is that they are stackable with a dryer, if space is an issue.
Lots of people have them here because European kitchens tend to be much smaller than the US and not as many people have separate utility rooms so all white goods go into the kitchen, so space is at a premium ,I've heard of such, wouldn't want to put my all my eggs in that basket, as they say.
Exactly like that, except electric dryer.
I had one similar to this one until it caught on fire, then I replaced it with side by side ones. I got reimbursed by the company. They wanted to give me the same brand but I said No Thank You.
I'm on my second set. First one lasted me 22 years.I had one similar to this one until it caught on fire, then I replace it with side by side ones. I got reimpressed by the company. They wanted to give me the same brand but I said No Thank You.
But doesn't that mean you'd have to buy new ones, probably at a higher cost and possibly not as good, convenient, durable, etc. as the last ones? And you know how sometimes "new and improved" means worse and more of a PITA.As weird and [EDIT]un-intuitive as modern appliance controls and programming is(are?), I look forward to them dying after just a couple years!
...that is all, I feel better now.![]()
I DON'T WANT weird controls! Why can't we have SIMPLE?
I regret letting go of the 20+ yr. old washer, especially because it "made sense" because we got the newer one from my step-daughter. But, you never know when an appliance is going to become a 'money pit', and not worth the money, time or trouble to deal with. But doesn't that mean you'd have to buy new ones, probably at a higher cost and possibly not as good, convenient, durable, etc. as the last ones?
