Today I went to my Dad's place. My son agreed we would all meet there. And lo and behold...the most beautiful baby ever...How about you? The first time you saw your first grandchild?

It's hard to even put into words...tiny hands, perfect little feet, ears like tiny pink shells, the smell of baby hair, even the diaper burp as he was snoozing in my arms...it all made it real, my Davey is a Daddy.

Oops, missed part of your post Furry. As yet I have not been presented with a grandchild. I am so looking forward to becoming a gramma.

Congratulations to you, Davey and the family. I have no children or grandchildren.

I only have grandogs and grandcats - I haven't as yet missed having a grandchild but I know that if I did it would be the best baby ever born - just like yours!

I remember the moment I held my first grandchild in my arms.

It was then that my daughter told me that she and her husband were thinking of moving to Tasmania.
I cried all the way home and hubby opened his wallet with an offer to help them afford to buy a house in Sydney.
That's how strongly the little stranger pulls on the heartstrings.

Any way, congratulations and welcome to the wonderful world of being a grandparent.

I hope they live close enough for you to enjoy the show. The next five years are going to be the best life has to offer.
Congratulations, Furry. When the family is intact, there's nothing to compare. Grab every moment.

Congratulations. :) I remember when we saw our first grandchild. We went down to San Diego and he was home from the hospital. The poor little guy had to stay there a few days and even had a spinal tap, which broke my heart. He was sitting in a car seat in the kitchen and sound asleep. We tried to wake him up so he would look at us. I don't know why but I always wanted to see my kids and grandkids EYES. Eyes, the windows to the soul. :) Now that little guy is 22 and getting married in November. The years truly fly by.
