How long before bed? I am monitoring sleep with my Fitbit, which although not as sophisticated as medical grade equipment nevertheless is surprisingly accurate, with an algorithm using data collected and constructing sleep pattern readout.
I usually have a daily 5PM vodka+club soda w/lime, 3-4 oz vodka. I can 'see' the difference in my sleep patterns with the 3 to 4 oz vodka. REM and Deep sleep are adversely affected by an increase in alcohol intake. I've since started a cut back to 2 oz, may even cease alcohol use again, to step up my weight loss effort.
