They rise with the sun and quit when it's dark regardless of the clock.
Don't know about your farmers, but ours get up long before 9.30 am and work much later than 3.15 pm!

I have written my state legislators asking them to do away with jumping ahead. I strongly dislike driving to jobs in the pitch-black mornings. It's dangerous for school kids, too.
