ISIS Kills 82 Year Old Senior Scholar

I am sitting here thinking about what I would think is a suitable and just punishment for Isis members and their supporters and I can't come up with anything severe or horrible enough that duplicates their horrendous atrocities except maybe the old Draw & Quarter.

I'm not surprised at all.

Especially since ISIS is literally trying to erase all history they don't like or want you to know. He studied and tried preserve history-uh oh.

For 50 years this man worked at his job and made well into his senior years only to be killed by an abomination rather than a dreaded or old age disease.

Not sure why anyone is surprised or shocked.

It is well documented that fundamentalists from IS to the Taliban and beyond, think that education for women is blasphemy.

The penalty for blasphemy under Islam is death.

Boil up a kettle of bacon grease. Lower these inhuman pieces of excrement into that boiling grease at an extremely slow rate... about 1" every 10 minutes. Litter the landscape of their "Caliphate" with the carcasses complete with the cooled grease still hanging from the bones.

I still do not believe most World governments understand the threat ISIS is to the human race. When the Plague was carried by rats and thousands were dying... the rats were exterminated. If you allow termites to continue eating away at your home, pretty soon your roof falls in on you. The global community MUST join together and eradicate this threat or we're all done.

Boy, do I understand the concept of torture as a form of justice/revenge. I still have nightmares where I am administering payback to my own personal demons. I have a huge and creative imagination, and a considerable knowledge of "techniques." Problem is, if I give in to those impulses I forfeit my hard won humanity. Then I'd best dig two graves.

I am not surprised either, but I am puzzled why senior's lives might be viewed as more valuable than those of younger men and women. Obviously children's lives come first.

Not so much as more valuable as certain lines even many criminals don't cross.

At huge cost, Llaurie, but we must not throw away extra lives in fruitless actions.
We have to approach the problem with intelligence and a long sighted approach.
Winning battles is good but winning the war is the goal.
However, a pyrrhic victory profits no-one.

Homeland Security has probably saved us from innumerable different attacks. You guys are too cynical. Our agencies are not perfect but we get more right than people realize...
