First plane with ‘advanced’ US ammunition lands in Israel

A first transport plane with “advanced” American ammunition landed at the Nevatim airbase in southern Israel this evening, the military says.

The IDF says the ammunition is intended “to enable significant strikes and preparations for additional scenarios.”

“We are grateful for the American support and assistance to the IDF in particular, and to the State of Israel in general, during this challenging period,” the IDF says.

“Our common enemies know that the cooperation between the armies is stronger than ever, and is a key part of ensuring regional security and stability,” the IDF adds.

I think the "Advanced munitions " are the 155 mm GPS controlled rounds. This artillery round has a built in GPS guidance system, that when properly calibrated, allows for targeting into a 50 foot square area. The last price I saw for ONE of these rounds was $67,00.00 USD. Now do the math for a few thousands of them. JimB.

However, surely there is danger if the BBC begin calling certain groups terrorists. It means they would have to judge, take sides, in all sorts of situations, perhaps in other wars. Will not true impartiality be gone?

I really hate what HAMAS is doing. Their attacks are unconscionable, despicable, heinous, cowardly and have cast we Muslims in a bad light yet again and have caused unspeakable harm to both Israelis and Palestinians. Let's not forget that among the dead and injured are innocent children on both sides. Unfortunately, some (ignorant) people lump Muslims with no malice in their hearts, who are going about their lives, just trying to make it like everyone else, into the terrorist mold. Most of the over one billion Muslims in the world are not terrorists and do not support terrorists activities.

Another thing these terrorists do is call out the name of God (Allah) while perpetrating these horrible deeds. That in of itself is a major sin. I hope they all burn in the hottest, most agonizing hell there is. Here are Quranic Surahs about killing of innocents:

Yeah, I don't understand that, either... our State Department labeled Hamas a terrorist organization decades ago. Canada does as well. I don't understand why *any* organization that's supposed to be respected has a problem with it!

The world is calling them out as terrorists. Their actions are clearly terrorists acts. The BBC is just playing political speak so these terrorists won't target them. Clearly its a self preservation act on the BBC part.

BBC headquarters has been covered with blood-red paint as the controversy still rages on over the corporation's decision not to call baby-slaughtering Hamas 'terrorists'.

Metropolitan police officers were seen marching outside the publishing house after the media organisation was covered in paint following the Hamas controversy.

The attack comes just hours ahead of a planned march for a protest in solidarity with Palestinians.

The Metropolitan police confirmed to MailOnline: 'We are aware of criminal damage to a building in Portland Place, W1A. At this stage there is no suggestion this is linked to any protest group.'

The building is near the starting point of today's march, which is set to begin at Portland Place at 12pm before finishing in Whitehall at about 3pm.

Hundreds of protesters have gathered outside the BBC's Broadcasting House in Portland Place ahead of a pro-Palestinian march in London.

Palestine flags and supportive placards were waved as people chanted, with Metropolitan Police and community support officers stationed nearby.

A cordon had been placed outside the main entrance to the BBC building after red paint was thrown at its entrance early on Saturday morning.

The Met wrote on X: 'Ahead of a planned March for Palestine demo today, a Section 12 has been authorised from midday in the area shown. The first repatriation flight helping Brits flee Israel has landed in Cyprus ahead of the Israeli military's land offensive on Gaza.

The Royal Air Force was brought in last night to help British Citizens to safety after they said 'we don't want our children to witness what is about to happen in Gaza'.

An Airbus A400M made two flights from Tel Aviv to Cyprus, the first on Friday night and the second during the early hours of Saturday morning, according to FlightRadar24.

A Foreign Office (FCDO) statement said: 'A UK Government charter flight has now left Israel (October, 13), with further flights expected to leave in the coming days while commercial options are limited.'

It comes as the UK Government had failed to organise repatriation flights from Israel due to problems obtaining insurance.

Just one week ago, women on both sides of this conflict were like this. Now some are dead along with their families, many others are fleeing homes they will never see again, into great suffering, uncertainty or death.

That's all I can think of. I do not know the politics, all I know is there are innocent human beings on both sides. I pray there will be restraint and mercy in the hearts of those who have power.

No, Americans need to stop the killings, rapings, beheading of children.
Using religion as a shield is not acceptable in a rational moral world.

Once evil is stopped, THEN let's talk about religious differences. AND, not just America, but all societies.
Not everything in the world is an American problem.

If it shows up on our doorsteps, we will deal with them accordingly. Until then, don't try to figure out murderers mindset unless you stop the murders first.

New information shows that Hamas targeted schools, youth centers and children's nurseries. Top secret paperwork has been recovered from the bodies of dead Hamas terrorists, and released to NBC TV. The details are specific, and include descriptions of what each individual Hamas unit was to do on the day of the attacks. Specific details were marked Top Secret, but the fools took the paperwork with them when they attacked the target locations. The documents are now public domain.

I wonder today about this woman and her kids stranded when they should be in Jersey.

The immigrants travel too much today to become truly Americanized. That's a big problem. Our grandparents couldn't, would never, return or visit. When they left the "old country" they left for good.

Two of my cousins were in Israel on the 4th for the Ra'im festival. They still haven't been found. Seems stupid now, but I think a lot of Jewish Americans these days feel like Israel is the safest place in the world for them to be. My 92yr-old aunt still refers to Israel as Our Sanctuary and The Promised Land.

I’m not sure how educated the British are about Islam. That’s best assessed by a Brit. If they think the divide between Islam and non-believers of Islam started back in the 40s, then they too need more information about Islam. The Quoran is over a thousand years old and the violent behavior of Muslims toward non-believers like Jews and other religions (called infidels) is dictated in the Quoran.
