It is so noisy right now where I am.

In the city, to my left is a busker playing boogie woogie, to my right is a busker banging away on makeshift drums (a bucket, a frypan and other utensils.)
Someone walked past with a boombox belting out hoppy hip, I mean hippy hop, oh you know what I mean.
I am sitting outside a City Beach store, in the window is a large video playing a tictok video of a young lady dancing, looks like she is moving to the drummer busker.
Might be time for me to catch the Yellow Cat to the park down the way. πŸ˜„

When I lived in New York City, during the summer, I always slept with my windows open. After awhile, you get used to all of the city noises. You just tune it out, since you know you have to get to sleep, since you usually have to work the next day.
I was born and raised in the City... nothing kept us awake.... when I moved to the country 50 years ago .. the silence kept me awake...

Now any little noise wakes me up

This is so much better than the Wiener Mobile.

@oldaunt, I agree with you. The noise from my woodland neighbors is also bad, day & night. πŸ¦‰πŸ¦ŠπŸ¦πŸ¦¨πŸΏοΈπŸ¦†πŸ¦πŸ‡πŸ¦Œ, etc. And the fights that break out in front of my house right now between the hummingbirds is out of control! The latest to move in next door go from the sun up to sun downπŸ”πŸ“πŸπŸΆ . . . And I wouldn't give it up for anything!

I'm really glad I don't live where you live. Noise is a form of pollution. As the population of the world increases and more immigrants flood our countries, there will be more and more noise pollution. Around where I live it's motorcycles with loud mufflers and those "young" kids with funny cars that spend $2,000 for some sort of muffler that makes a lot of noise.

Around here a lot of people with young families are moving out to satellite towns. The satellite towns are growing and the down town area is a deserted "No Man's Land" after 6:00 PM.

Welcome to the Future of Noise.

I hate them - the noisy motorbikes - I confess, but I ask myself, what is triggering this hatred? Is it more the sound itself? Or is it more that on some level I think that that person has it that loud specifically in order to impose on other people.
Why the need for such a loud noise? Intimidation? Certainly when a gang of these bikes go past the noise is intrusive, stopping everyone from their normal routine.
I know some years back the police started issuing noise pollution fines for these motorbikes but gave up after? Intimidation from the gangs?

I don’t have any buskers in my semi-rural area, but the cars passing with their overloud stereos are always enough to penetrate closed windows and drown out the television. Their choice of β€œmusicβ€œ alone could be considered an environmental assault weapon. Add to that the deliberately loud growl of the Harleys and the badly-muffled junk cars, and a peaceful summer night is just not a thing anymore… 😩

I get the feeling that those guys on motorcycles or loud cars have some sort of massive inferiority complex. They have to make noise as that is about all they can offer the world. It certainly isn't their brain power. Fortunately, women don't have this great pressing need to make silly, child like noise. Maybe it is because women are intellectually superior and know how to have an intellect conversation on a wide variety of topics. Some (perhaps most) men are capable of only making noise. Many are those who grunt, groan or shout!

They WANT to bug other people. It is annoying. I had a friend who was into cars and chopper motorcycle's. He loved to show off like revving his engine, real noisy exhaust stuff. It was stupid.
