What just isn't what it used to be?
"Hello, yeh, it's me, Mr Ed, a bit greyer these days.....and me eyes are knackered."
@asp3 I admire your positivity!I have access to the most music I've ever been able to listen to and don't have to rely on the radio, television, my library or whatever I can afford to purchase to find music that I love.
I can now find up to date information about almost any topic rather than having to rely on a set of encyclopedias that might have been written and/or updated last year.
I can actually find places to go and get directions or call them without having to stop at a phone booth to look at a phone book, pay the pay phone to make a call or carry maps to determine how to get somewhere.
Yes, it isn't what it used to be, it's better.
Nice to see you!Baking
Me, too. I'm sure something changed since it didn't taste like the KFC of my childhood when it was a treat for us.I on the other hand, I still mourn the change in Kentucky Fried Chicken.
I've been missing people myself. It was already too lonely & quiet around here & when the lockdown came? Deeeepressing. There are just too many people in the world now! You can't get away from the crowds unless you drive for at least an hour, and even then...
Movies, literature, art, and music were much better back in the '70s. And we couldn't rely on technology to occupy our time; we had to go out and find stuff to do, like cruising up and down Main St. for hours at a time, listening to music and drinking beer (small town, USA). I live in a fairly big city now. Maybe people in small towns still do that.
Thank you Bea, good to be back. Nice to see you also.Nice to see you!
