Jane Fonda says she has been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and that she is receiving chemotherapy for the disease.

Fonda, 84, took to Instagram Friday and wrote: 'So, my dear friends, I have something personal I want to share.

'I've been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and have started chemo treatments.

She'd previously suffered from Skin cancer and Breast cancer and had undergone a Mastectomy in 2016...

She says.. she's feels lucky to have excellent medical Insurance..and treatments available to her.. and feels for those who don't have that luxury...

I liked her dad and brother, but she always kind of turned me off. Nonetheless, I don’t harbor any I’ll feelings, so I wish her the best

Been there with that at same age .
Six rounds of chemo . I am still here after four years.
Recovery is tough but she will make it with all that is available to her with her probably much better financial position for medical attention in recovery stages.

Not a fan but I do wish her the best.(y)(y)(y)

From "Nine to Five" to "Frankie and Grace"... and everything in between... I have really enjoyed Fonda in the roles she has played. A great talent!! Sad to hear the latest news, but she is a strong-willed lady and will give cancer a good fight. Hope she conquers it and continues making people smile until she's 90 years old!!!

Best gift god could give her, she was the reason a lot of people were killed.

well I know about the GI jane thing... however I think you are appalling, being pleased that someone suffers from a viscous illness like Cancer when your thought of why she deserves it are very wrong.. Do your research... and discover the truth...

Hey, if I remember correctly @john19485 is a Vietnam Veteran, and I may disagree with what he says but I think that his status is entitled to respect. And perhaps some leeway in how we judge him. It is hard for us who were not there to imagine how it was or what we might think in his position. And he was there defending us, at our request, the corporate us as US citizens. Putting his life on the line for us.

I don't agree with him on Jane Fonda today, but I think what she did do by going to North Vietnam was at best foolish and wrong. Speaking and protesting at home was a very different thing. Thanks @hollydolly for the link, it does clear up some of the myths about her visit, to me it doesn't excuse it, but it does point out that some of the worst parts of the myth are not true.

Nope , do not agree Rob... I have Soldiers and Sailors in my family..I was married to one.. they fought in wars ( Falklands, and Afghanistan).. and they would NEVER celebrate the fact that someone has Cancer..especially based on a LIE!!

It's despicable to wish a horrible illness on someone .. and this just shows the true character of the person who does..
