Just Because You Didn't Ask For It - Screaming Goats!

Three of those were sheep, but goats sure can make weird sounds sometimes. Certain breeds tend to be more vocal. The Nubians can be the loudest, as loud as donkeys. We used to have a couple of those.:p
 

I don't know Shalimar. They are not common here. They sure are beautiful. Here is a male Golden Guernsey.

Just checked, guernsey goats originated in the Channel Islands. They were introduced to Britain in 1965,now there is a Golden Guernsey club. America now has golden guernsey goats as well, although the standards may be different. Perhaps, being a

relatively new addition to Britain, their popularity grew after your father's involvement with the guernsey association. Certainly their fame is growing. They have a genetic structure different from other goats, and a gentle temperament. Many varieties of

hair length also.

I stand corrected. Although I know Guernsey has goats, we had a couple when I was a baby as I couldn't tolerate cow's milk, I had no idea that Guernsey goats were a special breed. I must ask my youngest sister, who still lives on the island, if she has heard of them.
 
An interesting article which mentions the Guernsey goat. This is from an English farmer/presenter from the popular Countryfile Show on BBC TV. He specialises in rare breeds, including the Guernsey goat. 'The first reference to the Guernsey goat is in a book about the Channel Islands from 1862, which mentions the golden-coloured cows, goats and donkeys. The Guernsey cow is now world famous for its rich and creamy milk while the donkey is extinct. The goats were nearly wiped out, too, during the Second World War when the island’s occupying German forces began slaughtering all the livestock to feed themselves. A small group of goats was hidden away by the late Miss Miriam Milbourne and the breed was saved. It lives on today, although in very low numbers.'

Haha too funny. When I was in Greece once, I would oft times get caught by shepherds moving their goats and sheep. They do actually scream, which at first is very confusing cause you are thinking it is a human. If it is alright I will add this super bow, commercial from 2013. Made me laugh so hard.

Goats are very smart, sheep not so much lol
 
LOL! I like how he walks on his hind legs.

Mao must be part goat - he pops wheelies on his back legs to bump heads with me. :D
