I'm not new to message boards, but this seems to be one of its kind. I've been reading threads here for a few days and I'm really impressed with the variety of topics. I'm glad that political discussions aren't encouraged here. There's plenty of those out there if one needs to get their fill.
Whenever I've read the newspaper and some older (meaning over 60) person is involved, invariably they're characterized as "elderly'. Well, I don't believe in elderly. But I have to believe in "old" like it or not, though I still don't know what "old" is supposed to feel like. But I have decided that "old" starts at 70. And in about half a year I will be "old" Maybe then I'll start knowing what "old" feels like.
Anyway, I was recently in a new store at the shopping center where there was all these books titled "Things To Do When You Turn--and then it started with decades starting with 40, then 65 and all the way to 80. And when I saw the one for 70, I knew the universe was talking to me and saying, hey, girl, this is it. You've arrived. Now get with it.
