They're the gunslingers of the modern day. Only the $$$ - which leads to Power entices them.

They will defend and win an innocent verdict for the rapist or killer they know is guilty. On the other side of the coin, they will indict and acquire a conviction on an innocent party because of the resulting fame which will lead them to more Power.

Don’t even get me started on lawyers and I am good friends with three of them, which are all very good at their trade. Two of the lawyers are criminal attorneys and the other one is a specialist in family law. When we socialize together, I try to forget they are lawyers, but it isn’t easy.

oh don't even go there...I'm right in the middle of a divorce, witth 2 warring lawyers.. jeez.. the worst of it is.. is the opposing lawyer in their emails to my lawyer will accuse (ME of doing X..saying X.. asking for X...holding things up etc.. when its not me at all it's my bluddy lawyer...

They say ''your client this, that and the other, or wants this that and the other.. when in fact it's my lawyer whose said all of it... not me

My neighbor is a young lawyer and must say a lovely human being , he and his wife even laugh at my jokes .

We were going fishing this evening , saltwater canal fishing but plans changed and few guys going by boat for snapper , I do not go out on boats so told him I was tired , he is a good kid .

That is a decision of the trier of fact, not the attorney. They have a legal obligation to defend a client to the best of their ability. If the jury or judge issues a finding of not guilty, that is not the lawyers so called fault. If you are assigning undeserved blame, blame them.

The sorriest part of an angry divorce is that one or both partners who once loved each other, intimately slept together, and possibly had children together. cannot just simply walk away without seeking to destroy the other.
 
My daughter is an attorney, a former prosecutor who rents a NYC uptown storefront with an associate and they only handle walk-ins, tenant-landlord disputes, (no heat, rodent and insect infestation, falling plaster, broken elevators, leaking pipes, every building violation imaginable), health and fire inspection fines, immigration applications, rejected health insurance claims, etc. and mostly pro bono.

They both once prosecuted gang members. I think she’s pretty good, and could be making much more money downtown but she is respected in that neighborhood and definitely found her calling.

Both have been asked to run in primary elections for city and state offices but declined.

I'm divorced my wife filed for a divorce we simply grew apart and no big deal but as you stated ' angry divorce ' as you are correct and that is WW3 in our case we split things up and she kept the house in Albany I bought one here , no big deal .

My main concern was the fish and she had no interest in them so it worked out .

Some or you could say many think they speak with forked tongues , con artists , can't be trusted but I disagree its retired bald plumbers who I have found to have those negative qualities .
