Yea, I was kinda wondering that myself.I'm not really getting why lawyers should be banned from politics though

My neighbor has been a big help with my creative tax returns and other ventures .if you ever find yourself on the opposing side , you'll see a very dieret side to him
Btw those butt crack jokes are not well received at plumber conventions as insane as that might sound , very sensitive topic , lol .Complete with butt crack?![]()
As you know in California, Vermont, Virginia, and Washington one does not need to go to law school just pass the Bar exam .My dad was a lawyer. He was not a politician, but well attuned to the crooks in that discipline and went after them.
Here come the butt-crack jokesI tend to agree that laws and science should be run by plumbers , bald retired plumbers .
I love them and have countless rated X jokes which would sadly get me banned but all kidding aside having done jokes at a convention 20 years ago other plumbers do not like them .Here come the butt-crack jokes
Nor am I. Sometimes, though I think it seems like the only person for the job who the fewest people would find a problem with would be a cross between a nanny and a cat wrangler.I'm not really getting why lawyers should be banned from politics though
I didn't read the full thread until now, it seems that you are marginally less cynical than me.98% of all lawyers make the other 2% look bad.
I had a great-uncle who was what was called back then a "country lawyer".To become a Judge, including a Supreme Court Justice, a high school diploma is sufficient.
Lawyers are part of the Elite, like doctors, to be used only in emergencies. They are never found among the people, with the exceptions ofIf you get in trouble with the justice/legal system, I'm quite sure you'll hire the kid, who stocks shelves at your local grocery store, to defend you; rather than one of those blood sucking lawyers.
My best friend for 40 years is a common dude. You would never know he was a lawyer. But, getting him in a class he is teaching, and "The Professor" takes over. They are never found among the people,
Yeah, "winning' in some affairs just ain't worth it. Walking away - losing - many times *is* winning.I'm divorced my wife filed for a divorce we simply grew apart and no big deal but as you stated ' angry divorce ' as you are correct and that is WW3 in our case we split things up and she kept the house in Albany I bought one here , no big deal .
My main concern was the fish and she had no interest in them so it worked out .
Let me throw this business idea your way and tell me what you think .If you get in trouble with the justice/legal system, I'm quite sure you'll hire the kid, who stocks shelves at your local grocery store, to defend you; rather than one of those blood sucking lawyers.
Yes and in my case my wife was correct as I even give myself a headache so decided to give her what she wanted , she earned it listening to bad comedy for years . She remarried well at 62 so glad .Yeah, "winning' in some affairs just ain't worth it. Walking away - losing - many times *is* winning.
I would think as a Paralegal you can work as long as you want , part time after retirement if you choose to ?Was not a lawyer but was state certified Paralegal. Went to Paralegal school for a year, full-time. I loved reading the law. Most of my jobs in life were legal-based in offices and Family Court. In my area, paralegals may have clients and appear before judges for non criminal matters. I like most lawyers I have known. Hey, it's a living!
I didn't choose to. I envy those who have the energy to still work. I do not. I wouldn't be reliable. Those days are gone.I would think as a Paralegal you can work as long as you want , part time after retirement if you choose to ?
I think there are around 100 MP's in the UK Parliament who had a law background before going into politics. it’s common for MPs to have backgrounds in law, given the legal nature of parliamentary work and their roles in drafting legislation and scrutinizing government policy.I just did a quick google, and about 30% of congress and 51% of senators have practiced law or have law degrees.

He didn't even graduate from high school. Instead, he "read law" with an established lawyer for a few years and then set up on his own, doing wills, preparing suits for property disputes, etc. On the side he farmed......or most likely, his law practice was his side gig and farming put the bacon on the table...LOL.
I am just curious as to why do you think a lawyer would leave his practice if making over $200,000 a year for a job that only pays $175,000? Out of that money, they have to pay their own living expenses and food while working in D.C., not to mention maintain their homes in the state they came from.I just did a quick google, and about 30% of congress and 51% of senators have practiced law or have law degrees.
