Learning How To Live Life

Watching the Chiefs game and getting ready to go visit treasure islands in search of pink things for my Animal Crossing island. I got a bunch of stuff yesterday. Today I'm in search of wallpaper, flooring and rugs for my characters home.

Didn't sleep the best. I sure hope the doc will give me some anxiety medicine because I simply can't live like this. It's not going to work. I had to take half a valium last night.

I need to finish dishes and figure out what to eat today. I don't feel like eating but I need to eat something. Yesterday I barely ate. Just wasn't hungry. I lost another pound when I weighed at work on Friday. I have to be careful with the Roflumilast to not lose too much weight. Right now I am hardly in any danger. LOL!

Having some coffee and trying to just relax. Easier said than done.

yes. i hafta go to other islands for the flooring and wallpapers and rugs. i have 2 rugs i need yet. it takes the patience of Job to suffer through the time it takes to go to those islands when it's busy. lol!

so far the chiefs lost. i'm watching the steelers game now. trying to get some food into me. blah. i am being very selfish today. i have decided not to take the cookies for the party. i'm eating them because i decided i needed some comfort food. besides, so many of my coworkers are so crappy to one another they don't need them. :sneaky: the sneaky and smirking smiley are the same. whatever.

i might go back out to some more treasure islands later. i don't know. i gotta look at the catalog to see what i want.

one night i'd been on one for over an hr just trying to get from the back of the island to the airport. i finally had to do the naughty thing to get off the island and hit the minus button on my switch. i would take two steps and someone would fly in. two more steps someone would fly out. i couldn't even finish my looting.

Ugh. I hate when that happens; it's exhausting! When that happens to me, I sometimes forget what in freaking Hades I came for in the first place.

well and i didn't want to crash the island but i had to work the next day and didn't have another hour to wait. lol
 
i don't know where you go for islands but i go to twitch.com or .tv or whatever it is now. the saaakura stream is my fave but it's also the busiest. i think it's in thailand.

I use Twitch also. They have a great clothes island, but I can't remember the name of it, now. It's been a while for me.
 
well, the steelers won. i think some of the calls by the refs are kinda fishy sometimes but whatever.

i'm gonna try to head back to pinkaloo for some more stuff for my animal crossing island.

Morning everyone. I found a couple more games for my Nintendo Switch so I purchased and played those and watched tv til bedtime. I didn't sleep great but I did sleep so I'll take it.

I could've sworn the telemed appt was set for 10:15 but for some reason the text confirmations always change the times. Not sure why. So now it says 10:30. I'm still gonna be up and ready to open the link for the appt at 10 just in case.

I am fairly congested today both head and chest. But at least my lungs are trying to get rid of some of it. If I don't have to pay a bunch of taxes on my 401k I think I'm gonna get new pillows for the bed and get one of those thick mattress toppers to make the bed more comfy. And start working on getting those black out blinds I want from Walmart.

I really don't feel like going to work today but I will go. We are already too short as it is. We had hired two floor guys but one I think is no longer with us. He was homeless and lived at the shelter but he was an alcoholic. He spent one whole paycheck on scratch tickets and then he couldn't show the shelter the paperwork for his earnings so he got booted out and him and another guy got a motel room for a week with some booze and he hasn't come back.

I can't say I'll miss him cuz frankly he got on my nerves. He was loud and he talked incessantly. Table manners of a caveman. They even adjusted his schedule so he could catch the bus to and from work. And this is the thanks they got. They said they were gonna try to start hiring better. I have yet to see evidence of that.

Anyway, the new games I got are Littlewood and Camper Van Make it Home. Littlewood is similar to Stardew Valley and the Camper Van one is like the Unpacking cozy game. You design your van and then when you park somewhere you unpack everything and put it where you want it. I enjoyed Unpacking so this should be fun.
 
Well, I know nothing about video games of any sort, but i think they are a great way to deal with holiday week difficulties, and with other stresses, whenever possible. 🤩🥰
In addition, I'm sure they're fun, plain and simple fun. 👍

And I also do get it about the football games, when they aren't fun, like we hoped, and when the ref calls are inconsistent and confounding.

Well, my breathing wasn't great last night so I decided to set up the cpap and see what happened. I actually slept most of the night with it. I woke twice to deal with my stuffy nose but managed to get it cleared enough to get back to sleep. Feel a bit better today breathing wise. Yesterday my lungs were not doing well. I had a terrible time during my shift. Got some more congestion out of my lungs when I woke this morning.

They didn't make sure everyone knew about the team out last night at work so only 3 of us showed up. Supervisor, myself and one other gal. I don't know why he didn't get on his Vocera and call the others. There's a dept broadcast that you can do to communicate. That ticks me off.

There's something going around in ER cuz people are getting sick so I'm doing my best to stay masked up and praying. Unless I already have it. IDK. I know one of the docs was sick the past week with something respiratory. I guess we'll see how well the Roflumilast works during this season of sickness.

We had our Christmas party/dinner and it was weird cuz everyone sat in little groups instead of altogether and nobody hardly talked. We just basically ate and left. Frankly I wouldn't care if they did anything for us next year. Not much point if we're gonna sit in silence and the supervisor went to his office and didn't bother to eat with us. Our old one did.

I don't feel the least bit guilty for not taking those cookies in cuz there were 6 packages of cookies cuz everyone else brought some so whatever. I tried a couple but they were nasty.

I will likely go to bed early tonight since I have a 10:30 appt online in the morning. I also have to remember to pull my frozen pie and put it in the fridge for Thursday. I'm gonna try to find Christmas comedies to watch so I won't have such a tear jerking experience with movies on Thursday. I might look for some old classics too. We'll see. I have my big tin of popcorn too.

One of the gals at team out is extremely lazy. Last night instead of getting her own trashbags she was using mine off my cart cuz she didn't bring her cart. I made her get her own bags. Then when we got done rather than putting them away she simply tossed them on my cart and laughed and started walking off. I made her put them away. I told her I wasn't her mama. If she had asked me nicely to put them away I would have. But I felt what she did was super rude.

I am anxiously awaiting the 3.0 update for Animal Crossing as I'm sure @Medusa is. Should be fun. I was wrong about the date for the return of School Spirits on Paramount. I thought it was on my birthday next month but, turns out it wasn't. It's the 28th.

Speaking of birthdays...they accidentally gave us our free birthday dinners with the 2025 date on them. Then we get an email asking us to shred those and they'll make us new ones. Uhhhh...I already used mine. LOL! I wonder if I'll get another one? If I do I'll use it too. LMAO!
