We got very little snow and only a minute amount of ice. The snow is almost gone. And no ice that I see. I tried the Skechers I bought. They will not work for my job. They will be ok on my days off though. I went to the Shoes For Crews site and bought a pair of slip resistant shoes from them. Still cheaper than the shoe store and able to get my size and width.

I wasn't able to get much accomplished last night because day shift leaves me with everything and all the rooms were full so I gave up. I got zero rooms done last night. The place was full up again. So I took care of some things that have been neglected and did all the crap day shift left me with. Today I will focus on trying to get some rooms done and dusting around the unit where needed. The floors will be nasty cuz of the brief snow.

They let nursing clean all the iso rooms except for the cdiff ones. I caught one of them using the regular wipes instead of the bleach ones so I stepped over and told him he has to use the bleach wipes or it won't kill the covid. :rolleyes: After what is it now 5 years, you'd think they'd know better. Good grief.

I hopped on to play a few solo games with the new season. Although it's not the best...it's a South Park one and I can't stand South Park but I still played a little. I'm still working on setting adjustments to try to make my shots better. Some of the folks on PCs are so much faster than my console that sometimes I don't get a chance at a shot. Plus it depends on how fast their internet speed is. I'm not going any higher with mine cuz I can't afford to. I already pay $120 for 300 mega bytes per second with unlimited data.

Time to wander the site.
 
and I realize I'm no genius but, if you're in charge of others and you hafta take messages for them and can't remember, you should be writing it down.

I got stuck spending 10 minutes trying to find out which room they wanted the floor mopped on. No clue who called the charge or what room. Nobody knew. 🙄
 
Been a busy night. ER full to the brim. Elevators down. Short a housekeeper. I cleaned of her rooms and helped supervisor with the other.

I think I'm gonna play spirittea tonight. I need to get money to buy more towels for the ghost bath house. Lol!
 
I watched that video of that lady who hit that ICE guy. The other gal was filming him and taunting him with smart ass remarks and there's no way I'm convinced she didn't hit him on purpose. She even drove away without her friend or to see if he was okay.

I did not however see anyone chasing her down to shoot her.
 
Morning. In one of the threads today someone mentioned gaslighting. Merrium Webster definitions: one is a noun that describes a light made by burning gas, a gas flame and a gas illuminating fixture.

1: to psychologically manipulate (a person) usually over an extended period of time so that the victim questions the validity of their own thoughts, perception of reality, or memories and experiences confusion, loss of confidence and self-esteem, and doubts concerning their own emotional or mental stability : to subject (someone) to gaslighting.

2: to grossly mislead or deceive (someone) especially for one's own advantage.

I've had both done to me by my parents and a boss or two over the years. When I finally realized what was happening that's when things shifted and I was able to step away from it. After mom died my father was still attempting that crap in an effort to control me. It is now his loss.

Anyway, I can't wait to get today over with. I'm tired. I hope that other housekeeper shows up today. She calls in a lot on her weekend. :rolleyes:

I found a headset with mic on sale for like $11 at Walmart. I'm waiting for it to be delivered this week. Maybe I can find some other nice gamers to play with and chat. There are some out there. Mostly toxic but some nice ones. Hopefully I have everything set right and can get it to work. Some of the new technology is hard to figure out.

Not sure what I'm playing tonight. I need to keep going in and practicing on Fortnite. I might have to redownload Aim Labs and do what the other gamers do and do 15 min a day there to help practice my shots.

The neighbor out back has a car that's kinda loud and she's been coming and going since 5 this morning. Woke me up. I don't understand why she can't park on the street out front. Or why neighbors are crammed onto a block so close to each other they could practically wear each other like a coat.
