Left Handed Irish Tasmanian Here

Thank you Devi.
I am sure I will love this site once I work out how it operates.
If I can ask you one question about the site, where do I view my profile so I can add some stuff about me and upload a profile picture.
Please and thank you
Just click on your name and avatar (picture) in the upper right area of the page. That will take you to your Account Details page, where you can add all kinds of stuff. Note also that the left side of that page has links to other options.

Have fun!

Hi Bretrick. From my avatar you can see that I too am an Aussie and have recently discovered that I have some ancestors who were sentenced to transportation.

I've been twice to Tassie and loved it both times. It is a far cry from WA but both are spectacular in their own way. WA is rather big. Where are you, down near Perth or right up near Broome?

Welcome this forum where you can talk to people from different time zones. I use the world clock in my phone to see who might be awake at any particular time. You are now three hours behind me in Sydney.

Well hello! I too am left handed (ambidextrous) transplanted to Nashville Tennessee but originally from Oz! In fact, I grew up in Perth WA! Born in East Cannington, moved to North Perth when I was two, moved again to Mt. Lawley as a teen, before leaving home. I think Mt. Lawley has a different name now. Maybe North Perth does too! I moved away in the 70's and never moved back.

Welcome to the forum!

Thank you fellow Aussie.
Tasmania is so beautiful. I lived on the West Coast and grew up fishing on the Gordon and Franklin Rivers.
Such beauty

I live in Perth now and go out into the bush as often as I can. Taking Photographs of the critters, birds and the landscape.
I truly love nature and will share plenty of my pictures when I work this site out properly

Hello there, ex pat, Mt Lawley still has the same name as does North Perth.
I lived in East Cannington for a few years on Station Street. Near the train station
I hope we converse more over the coming months/years.

Thank you Sue for welcoming me here.
Please excuse the tardiness of my response. I have been inundated with welcomes and posts galore on my first day.
I will be sharing plenty about my Island Home, Australia with lots of lovely photographs of our wildlife and landscape.

Born in that beautiful Island under the Land down under. Stunningly green with temperate rainforest.
If you want to, google Tarkine Tasmania for a stunning look at a portion of my birthplace.
Not familiar with posting images here yet but maybe I will work it out eventually

Currently living in Perth Western Australia. A huge state 2.64 million sq km in size. Tasmania would fit inside this state 20 times.
Very hot here in the summer with temperatures up to 47 C, 118 F.
I love going out into the bush, taking pictures of our wildlife and landscape.
Not able to do that just now though. Broke my ankle at work and will be out of action for several months

Welcome! I nearly missed your Intro post, I don't know how....but....
as I said..... Welcome!:)

I will love to see your photos and to hear about, the wildlife and landscape there!

Welcome from Toronto! I know people who live in Launceston. How I miss Australia! Such a unique country, and such lovely people.

I hope you enjoy the cameraderie here on our international forum :)

Hello Kaila, thank you for welcoming me here.
My second day, 4.45 am Wed 27 Oct Perth.
I am hoping today will be as interesting as yesterday was. Been here less than 24 hours so still plenty to learn about this site.
Having a broken ankle has curtailed my outings into the bush and will curtail those adventures for several months to come.
Worry not, I do have some stored Photographs to share, this being one of them.

Thank you Pinky. You're right when you say Australia is such a unique country.
I love Australia and need to share the beauty with the world
How about some Spring time Wildflowers? Picture is a bit too big. Am working things out. Will get the size right eventually
