I question how much has really changed. Finding a workable match doesn't happen overnight. There's many potential partners to check out, and even if you find a match, the timing has to be right. Your match might be out of circulation when you are in. And vise versa. We constantly change, and a match may be out of sync when you are in.

Maybe today's generation think it all has to be done on the meat market of Match.com, when maybe they would be better off meeting live partners at a real meat market, where real people are buying actual meat, or at the bars, churches, laundromats, or other community organizations.

It's the tech generation. It's not only about using the tech but instant results or gratification. There's always been find a date gimmicks. People have to get off the internet and do things in person and be patient. Along with working on casual relationships before they leap to dating. Some don't even use courtesies like please, thank you etc.
