Live without for a week, Internet or Phone?

I'd give up the internet because I constantly play word games and listen to music on my iPhone and that is not internet dependent.

So, to each his own, all good! 👍

Discounting work , I would rather go without my phone for a week. I can do pretty much anything with my PC at home that I could do with my phone, including making calls and texting. I would miss my music or podcasts when taking walks though and I would not know what to do with myself in those idle times away from home but I would manage. God forbid, I might even bring a book with me if I knew I had idle time to kill away from home :)

Which would you/could you be without for a week...

1. Internet
2. Your Phone

Neither...

And, why?

🤔
I could do without both. I love the phone when I need it but hate it when it's just nonsense calls. It wouldn't bother me a bit to speak to no one for a week. The internet I would miss but being without it for only a week is fine. I could do that NP. I'm able to amuse myself with other things. I could read, watch TV, or stand on my head. 🙃

Two months ago, I was without internet for about 10 days when my 3 yr old laptop battery died on me.
I was 'lost' ,{it was the longest, boring time in my life, I couldn't come to SF where I do every day or ck my emails}I really needed it because I'm my church's 'flower co ordinator' If members want to donate flowers on any Sun,they contact me with their dedication, then I relay the info to our 'media director' who prints the dedication in Sun bulletin.I also send person's name to local florist we use.
When I bought my updated laptop I was in '7th heaven'

You're obviously taking it. :giggle:
The primary time killer for most is that stupid iphone! Seems our whole Society has lost the ability to sit and have a conversation with others. Especially young people. Go into a restaurant on a Friday or Saturday night and look around. Find a table with a dating age couple, they will seldom look up at each other, just banging on those stupid iphones.... Lord help them! In my last 25 years working, I always had something that kept me in contact with my management who were in Japan and then with a new company they were in Sweden. I was on call to them 24/7! After 25 years of that, I swore that I will not be available to anyone in retirement. And, I am not!

Well, we all lived without either (cell phones, anyway), for many years until pretty recently. And we survived. But now, why would we want to?

We could live without air conditioning, cars, modern medications, electricity, you name it. But again, why?

I despise having to converse with people on smartphones at home, work or play but work requires them. I'd love a satphone but they're reserved for the corporate golfers on the top floor. The Internet is a great part of my existence but if an adversarys EMP takes it out I'll just read books.

My phone is always on silent at home. I have it, only for emergencies when I'm out. It is not "connected".
I choose my computer, every time!
