Two hotdogs, French fries, and a beverage $14.95 plus 8% sales tax.
I’m ok but it makes me wonder how parents and grandparents manage when they want to take the kids out for a treat or when a neighborhood dad wants to treat the little league team after a game.
Understood. This is a toasted sandwich with no sides.
ridiculous.. they try that here as well... More fool the people who pay it.....2 slices of "luxury" ham, 1 slice of cheese, between 2 slices of bread, toasted.
$14
Looking at them, premade in the display cabinet, dried out and slightly curling.ridiculous.. they try that here as well... More fool the people who pay it.....
I know... it beggars belief really....Looking at them, premade in the display cabinet, dried out and slightly curling.
Disgraceful.
Then, people will buy it.![]()
You can make this at home for 1/3 (or less) of the $14 price.2 slices of "luxury" ham, 1 slice of cheese, between 2 slices of bread, toasted.
$14
I wonder the same thing when I see young parents out with their children and I know the restaurant prices are high. I paid almost $18 for a wrap and soda at Just Salad; tax included. It’s expensive here too.

Paying living wages or higher than living wages will of course result in higher price. One local coffee/sandwich shop raised prices and had a sign saying 'difficulty finding good help is the new COVID". Someone wrote underneath "Paying living wages is the new vaccine"
It's not easy these days. Long gone are the days when they were satisfied with a Happy Meal for $5. Of course, also long gone is the $5 Happy Meal.....It’s expensive here too.

I used to go to the cafetaria for fries and snacks, but it has gotten so expensive. It costs them way more because of insane gas prices because of Russia. My ex said he bought fries, a can of soda and 2 or 3 snacks for 1 person and it was 26 euro. The Mc Donalds is way cheaper and better. You can eat for 50 euro with 4. I don't go there anymore though. A bag of fries in the airfryer is 1,79 and nuggets in the airfryer is 5 euro for 20 at the supermarket.Didn't there used to be a way of comparing food prices internationally by looking at the cost of a Macca's Big Mac?
I haven't had a Big Mac for years but I am told by someone who should know that the current price is AUD$6.60 or US$4.41 (that is just the burger itself not a meal)

McDonald's Australia
Same, same. Granola bars and hard candy are stashed in all our vehicles, and we bring water bottles with us when we'll be out for over an hour.I would rather bring a protein bar with me than eating hotdogs and fries in a hospital cafeteria.
I can't get all of the specs, but in list of ingredients it includes 'beef disc'.. HUH???!In my area
as of early 2026, the price for an individual Big Mac is approximately
$8.89 to $8.99
