If this guy's biggest problem is early Christmas decorations, he must in fine shape....or he is overlooking dozens of Real Issues that will affect his future.

In their zeal to generate wanton "buying spirit", the retailers here have begun "pushing" Christmas well before Thanksgiving, a fact we find rather deplorable. Why not have "Christmas" all year, then? imp

It's almost to the point where Halloween is the start of the Christmas shopping season. I get kind of amused at the marketing tricks these stores use to lure the customers in. If a person watches the prices closely, there are huge numbers of items that are marked up substantially...then "reduced" for these sales. It's no wonder that most stores make the bulk of their yearly profits off the Christmas sales. The US Chamber of Commerce released a study this past Spring that said that consumers spend an average of $3 a minute in the stores...so the longer the store can keep a person "shopping" the more money they make. It is the rare person who goes to the store with a specific shopping list, buys only those items and leaves as quickly as possible.
