Looking for a good browser

Need suggestions for a good browser. I've been using Firefox for a pretty long time, but often I get multiple versions open at the same time (using up space). I delete the 'extra' versions (from Explorer) but they just keep appearing. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks.

I have been using Firefox since it was Netscape and never come across that. Though to be honest I am not sure what you mean by multiple versions. If there are more than one don't you just click on x in the corner?

It's possible that you have Firefox set to open links in a new window. You can end up with a bunch of open Firefox windows even though only one session of Firefox is open.
Try this,
Open Firefox,
In the address bar at the top of the page type "about: preferences" (don't type the quotation marks and don't leave the space between the colon and preferecnes). Click Enter

Scroll down to the "Tabs" section
Make sure you have a check mark in the box titled "Open links in tabs instead of new windows"

My laptop came with Microsoft Edge too & I soon chose Chrome. It is a lot better for me. Had it at home on a desktop but now have a laptop & it works fine. Someone had told me I had to use "Edge" on here, but proved them wrong.

Except for Firefox, which I haven't tried, I stick with Chrome, since I have consistently noticed fewer results when using other browsers

Someone ya talked to doesn't know jack about computers...lol.

Firefox (by Mozilla) for me, but may not be necessarily for everyone.
Strong stance on user privacy.
Mozilla is a non-profit foundation, not an ad-tech company, so their business model isn’t based on harvesting user data.
Recent versions are lightweight and efficient with memory.
