looking forward, what are you looking forward to?

best of luck with the album!!! Ages ago, I worked for Reggie Workman's sister. She had a natural foods restaurant in the Bay Area. I met him once. Those jazz guys were always doing gigs in Europe and Japan. So, he flew into the Bay Area to say hi to his sister, before flying back to NYC. I have to say that the people I met in the Coltrane circle were all amazing people.
Thank you so much Jon❣️

I just went back and edited what I wrote. It sounds like a "cabinette" and "roomette" (what I changed the wording to) are the same thing. Maybe they are called different things according to the area one is from. I realized I worded it wrong because the roomettes are in the sleeper cars. Meals and beverages are included in the price of a roomette, as well as service by an attendant.
That sounds like heaven. ♥
( No worries; I wouldn't have known the difference as I have no clue about the difference between a cabinette, a roomette or a sleeper car, having never been on a train for travel. :)
Now I'll want to hear all about it at whichever coffee klatch follows your trip. ♥

Still dealing with winter and even snow today, I’m looking very much forward to Spring, blue skies and sunshine. Going to take a road trip to visit my son and his family in June. Only see them about once a year.

I am disabled. About 5 years ago? I literally called every single therapist in my local telephone book. About 20. Not a single one would take Medicare. Not one. Not joking. Not joking even an inch.

Since then I have tried Talkspace and Better Help. They are basically weird and can be very little help. The anonymity really gives the therapist license to just phone it in and not be involved. I did have some good sessions, over a connection like Zoom...but frankly, the tech failed. The image would freeze or the volume would drop out or get very low.

Just could not continue with it.

Glad you have someone good. I have met many other people who have also found a good therapist. Hasn't been the case for me. Not for awhile. About 20 years ago, I had a good therapist. Lasted 8 full years, until he retired. very nice guy.
There was one session provided by my employer that I had to attend. Even in person, I couldn't feel that they didn't care enough to make me care. I didn't feel that I needed to try anymore and I have my own way of dealing with it and am not a danger to anyone.

If there's a university in your area that has a medical center, they all accept medicare (as far as I know) and almost all of them have a psych department. You should call and ask about it. And you won't get student doctors, you'll get a real doctor who will sometimes bring a student to sit in on your sessions, but only with your permission.

Right now, I'm looking forward to our fence being fixed. It was blown down in the storms and the landlord hasn't got it sorted out yet. My plants are exposed to the public...I'm amazed that nothing has been stolen.

Looking forward to a few different things. One is my dental appointment in April.
Another is finally getting the new tires on my mobility chair so as soon as the weather changes I can be out and about again on my own.
Making my storage locker downstairs into a organized and efficient supply room.

I'll definitely share. I hope I can get to go before it gets too hot in Florida.

Thank you again! I see you added to your reply. Jazz people are usually pretty cool. I've met a few and my BFF played in a Jazz Rock band for years as well with several famous people. Here is more about her from one of my threads:

About 20 years ago, I also met and became good friends with Hunter. I've seen him perform several times, sometimes with my husband, sometimes with others. He composes, sings and plays the sax as well as other instruments. We admire each other's music so much. Both of my friends (and I) play music in any genre. They give live performances, I do not.

We are looking forward to two trips we have scheduled later this year. First is in August from Florida driving up as far as Wisconsin to visit our daughter who haven't seen in 3 years, my sister who we haven't seen in two years, and DW's sister who we haven't seen for a year and a half. At our age you start to wonder if this might be the last time you get to see them. We are not looking forward to the long drive, probably a 3000+ mile round trip.

In October we will be driving from Florida to Gatlinburg TN. Great time of year to visit.
